Re: WNDR3700 v2 and USB drive

 This could be a problem with a lack of USB power (5V). I know it's difficult, but try a USB hub with an external power supply (adapter). Sometimes a shorter USB cable from the disk to about 30cm long will help.

Re: 1.13.0.x gargoyle-ispy 2020-November-15 06

So I could help and make them easier to download, so I started my own web server: http://gargoyle.romanhk.cz Here you can find the latest (and some older) builds from this forum. Build from @ispyisail (I thank him): The "images and built" directory will be decompressed by file. Here you wi...

Re: PXE SERVER?

Step by step - I used a VM with Gargoyle 1.13.x 1. First, we will run the USB storage (if we haven't done so in the past) in Gargoyle format so that we get the path eg /tmp/usb_mount/dev_sdb (sdb1) https://i.imgur.com/2ZMYpCc.png 2. Are you certain you need to use PPPoE in this configuration? Have you tried just DHCP?
To avoid double NAT, the modem switches to bridge mode and in most cases you get a public IP on the router on the WAN interface.

But YES, to perform double NAT I would see as the last functional option.

Re: "WAN (PPPoE) Uptime:" Logging

Nov 16 20:26:18 Gargoyle local5.notice qosmon[28034]: terminated sigterm=15, sel_err=-1
 I've noticed that you're using QoS, and if you disconnect from games, try turning off QoS and give it a try.

Re: Can't connect my Archer through PPPoE

The only thing I can advise you is to turn on debug command in the /etc/ppp/options file - this will give you more information about the progress of the connection  .

Code: Select all

debug

Re: Can't connect my Archer through PPPoE

Try contacting your ISP, it is quite possible that your xDSL modem will not work in bridge mode even though it has this function - usually this is solved by uploading another firmware in the modem. I also had these problems with the Zyxel modem (I don't remember the type anymore) and it was set up u...

Also check the correct setting of these values:
VPI (Virtual Path Identifier) and VCI (Virtual Circuit Identifier).
