Re: TP-Link WR1043 Wifi dropping
Went back to RC5, having the same issues on RC6 that I have with Gargoyle. RC5 is rock frickin stable though.

TP-Link WR1043 Wifi dropping
On gargoyle 1.4.2, 1.4.3 and 1.5.0 I'm having issues with WiFi dropping/instability. The only way to get WiFi back is to reboot the router.
I am not experiencing issues with WiFi on OpenWRT RC5. Just flashed to RC6 today, so have no input on it yet.

Anyway to manually set the time?
I have a TP-Link 1043, there is nothing hooked up to the WAN port as it's just primarily used as a wireless AP. The date and time are way off, and I'm assuming since the modem isn't connected via WAN it is not going out to time servers to correct itself. Is there anyway to correct the date and time ...

Re: Installed 1.3.16 on a new WR1043ND
I'm not sure if it's just my specific WR1043ND, but I can't flash any third party firmware's through the web gui. Gargoyle, DD-WRT, doritos version of gargoyl, open wrt. They all seem to flash fine, but then if you reboot the router it never comes back. I can then put the router into failsafe mode a...

Installed 1.3.16 on a new WR1043ND
Received a new tp-link wr1043nd v1.8 hardware. Upgraded the stock firmware to 1.3.16 factory upgrade. The upgrade seemed to go fine, got into the gargoyle web gui made some changes (set password and corrected the time). Hit save and the router never came back. Just sits with sys light blinking fast....

Re: TP-Link 1043 bricked...
Sorry for the delayed response, forgot I posted a cry for help here. I ended up being able to connect to the web gui (even with sys and wlan blinking) if I was connected to port 4 on the switch. From there I just reflashed 1.3.9 using the flash from factory file. It seems to be good now (since Monda...

TP-Link 1043 bricked...
Looking for some suggestions. I upgraded my internet to 60/5. Wasn't getting the speed, so went to power cycle the router. Unplugged it and the modem. Plugged the router back in, boot process never completes. PWR turns on solid, lan lights for those ports that are connected turn on. SYS and WLAN jus...

Re: Missing Half Download Bandwidth
I have a TP-Link 1043, running Gargoyle 1.3.9. I am also experiencing the issue with only getting 50% of my down speed. I get my full 5mb up, my down on stock firmware and on dd-wrt (which isn't very stable for me on this router) is over 60mb. On Gargoyle (this is my first experience with it) my dow...

New to Gargoyle, have a question
Just flashed the latest to my TP-Link 1043. Just wondering if it's normal for gargoyle to come back in various firewall tests as closed or responded with closed instead of stealth for all ports, other then ports you have open?
