B/W Distribution Doesn't Display using IE
Using IE6, IE8 (either mode), all pages EXCEPT B/W distribution display correctly. B/W Distribution pie charts do not display at all. Am I missing something on my computer? B/W Distribution does display correctly using Google Chrome. Pages load faster too. Gargoyle is v1.3.3 on an Asus WL-500gp with...

Web Usage page stops displaying results
After a few days of use, Web Usage page no longer displays visited web sites and Google searches beneath the headings. Gargoyle reboot brings it back. No loss of data, usage or quota tracking. V1.3.3 Asus W500G P1 (32 Mb of RAM) Memory Usage 56.8% of 29.8MB. After REBOOT it is 46.4% about 200 to 900...

Keep the IPA thru a firmware upgrade
Had no trouble upgrading to 1.3.3 on my Asus W500 P remotely that is the gateway at an RV camp. IP access for the campe is via cellular HSPA data modem. True to the warning, the upgrade wipes the configuration and defaults to factory. It would be icing on the cake if the gateway static IPA were to m...

Re: Version 1.3.3
Seems to be working fine on an ASUS w500 P v1 after a couple weeks serving an RV camp. Great work! Thanks.

Re: Suggested feature: Quota alarms
Actually no new web page or otherwise required .... Gargoyle already provides Quota remaining on the login page. I'm using Gargoyle at an RV camp to try and stay withing the ISP monthly quota. I have a notice on the bulletin board that lets people know they can check their quota remaining by browsin...

Re: QoS the next generation
As a method of determining WAN congenstion, you state: "The controller does this by sending periodic ICMP requests to your WAN gateway and measuring the round trip time. I propose that increased round trip time is a good indication of congestion. The controller sends these requests only when ne...

Re: Suggested feature: Quota alarms
What about implementing an alarm as a pop-up or one-time page redirect instead of an email? Nodogsplash with Gargoyle?

Re: Suggestion: Quota improvement
For the family situation, in my opinion the issue is broader ... too much computer, TV, Wii, games, or anything sedintary. Not just video streaming or downloading.

Re: Suggestion: Quota improvement
Your suggestion to turn off certain types of high bandwidth traffic once a quota limit is exceeded certainly takes a unique approach. My concern is that this sort of filtering would require a lot of fine tuning. How to create a FW rule that would restrict all the possible permutations that heavy dow...

Re: Suggestion: Quota improvement
I like the concept of soft quota approach. My case involves a low security WiFi for an HSPA+ fed, RV park hotspot, where a daily quota (say 300Mb) stops big downloaders, but is reasonable for many. Most traffic would be on weekends. The sudden death quota enforcement is rather harsh. A reduction of ...
