Re: WiFi Bridge
Thanks Lantis and ispyisail. Good to know this is a known bug and a fix is in the queue. In the meantime, is there any other way I can achieve what I am after? That is a secondary network configured and locked to my Chromecast and the ability to connect to different primary networks without changing...

WiFi Bridge
Hi. I am trying to setup a WNDR3700V2 so that I can connect to a WiFi network which I will call Network 1 and then create a separate WiFi network which I will call Network 2. I wish Network 2 to do DHCP and be invisible to Network 1. The reason is so that when travelling I can have my Chromecast on ...

Re: Information request
Hi Walton For your info I am in Sydney and running a WNDR3700V4 right now. I'm using the 13 November 2017 build posted by ispyisail (1.10.X (Built 20171112-0128 git@2219e41)) and it has been rock solid for months. Wifi 2.4GHz coverage is good IMHO, though 5GHz is ordinary and of course no AC mode. I...

Re: Wireless Bridge/Repeater
Thanks for that Lantis. If you could point me in the right direction to find some documentation on how to set up relayd from the command line in Gargoyle I would like to give it a go. While I am a bit of a novice, with your help I did set up some cron jobs a while ago to change my QOS settings to ad...

Re: Wireless Bridge/Repeater
Thanks Lantis. I had hoped my approach would allow the relayd approach to work except with a wired link instead of a wireless link. It appears such is not the case.
Thanks for the reply and all the great work with Gargoyle.

Re: Wireless Bridge/Repeater
Hi. I would like to setup a wireless repeater, though using an Ethernet wired link from the main WAN router to the repeater device rather than a wireless link. Would I be correct in assuming that if I set the 'Wan Ethernet Port' setting to 'Bridge to LAN' and made an Ethernet connection from one of ...

Re: gargoyle-ispy 2017-January-27 10:21.torrent
Hi. I have one WNDR3700v2 and two WNDR3700v1 which I run with an OPTUS cable modem which is in bridge mode. I only run the routers one at a time, usually the WNDR3700v2 is used and I keep the WNDR3700v1s for backup. I am currently running this version of Gargoyle on the WNDR700v2 without a problem. ...

Sorry Lantis did not read you post properly, I do apologise.
I will move both the
/etc/hosts
/etc/ethers
files over.
Thank you again for your work in development and in assisting everyone with their questions.

Re: gargoyle-ispy 2017-January-24 20:11.torrent
Thank you Lantis, I will enter the Firewall and Port Forwarding manually as these are the relatively easy ones. Even so I would still like to move the MAC to IP settings over by transferring a file if possible as these are the most labour intensive. Is the file /etc/hosts the correct file as there d...

Re: gargoyle-ispy 2017-January-24 20:11.torrent
Hello. I am upgrading from version 1.9.X (Built 20160924-1943 git@093be12) to this one. I have upgraded my spare router without preserving settings. While I can enter the basic settings OK, I have a lot Static IPs assigned to MAC Addresses and it would save a lot of time and effort if I did not have...
