Re: Different Internet provider with build in wifi & Gargoyl
I caved, getting the new package installed on Tuesday. They will have at least one gigabit Ethernet port to plug in our devices. My plan is to plug the WAN Ethernet port from my Gargoyle router to their port and disable their wifi. What changes are required to my Gargoyle configuration so all WAN tr...

Re: Disable upload and download, allow web browsing only.

Re: Send an email when WAN IP address changes.
Lantis, there's a email function for tracking Web usage. Odds are most of the email code could be adapted to send the email. It could be configured to add the WAN IP address to the email. Thoughts?

The request is similar to the Smart Connect feature I have in my DLink router.

Re: Bandwidth quota for network except certain MAC addresses
If you assign a static IP to that MAC, yes. Create a rule with that IP to unlimited and then another for everything else with the limitations you want.

Different Internet provider with build in wifi & Gargoyle
Hi all, Under household pressure for faster Internet, I'm looking at switching from our old 6MB DSL package to a 100MB cable bundle through Eastlink. They use the Arris MGS5125G as a gateway. Can I plug the WAN port into their gateway and see traffic required to maintain parental controls? Is there ...

Re: Quotas at limits impact ping
We live in the country with a 6MBPS / 800kbps connection. Quota isn't being used. Each kid has 2-3 devices with a combined max of 60Mb full speed per day before it throttles down to 125kB down / 40kB up. They are also restricted to have access from 9-21 hours per day. Each kid has their own block SK...

Quotas at limits impact ping
My kids and their gaming consoles each have a daily un-throttled amount of bandwidth, and then speeds get capped.
My wife and I have all the bandwidth we want (or kids share).
I've noticed each time they hit their quotas, the ping test jump from 19ms to 190ms+.
What configurations should I change?
