Re: Fonera 2.0: FonFlash Question's
Reading on the DD-WRT forums - looks like you may be able to hack it and flash a current version of the Fonera DD-WRT firmware, or possibly even Gargoyle Atheros version. Only thing I see though is that there is NO USB support currently, that has to be developed as of yet. So, even once you get Redb...

Re: create standalone ipkg
What device do you have and what are you trying to do? Are you adding features or trying to make a custom build? Sounds like you have a Fonera? Eric already compiles builds for the Fonera if so. You are aware that Gargoyle uses OpenWRT and that the Gargoyle portion is actually the GUI interface? Und...

Re: WRT54GL Tomato 1.25 > Gargoyle
Yes, I use Gargoyle firmware on one of my routers. Listed below are the routers I have and the firmwares I test. Remember, the disclaimer is always present for any firmware. There is always a risk flashing different firmware on a router. Its always possible to recover a router, but flashing new firm...

Re: Wireless connection "times out" after a period of time
Yea, if the USB works much better, the built in wireless might be dying on your laptop computer. Sometimes un-installing and re-installing the latest driver can fix some issues, but that's not always the case. Also, its recommended to replace antennas with a new one that has a higher dBi rating, ins...

http://www.gargoyle-router.com/wiki/doku.php?id=install_guide#linksys_wrt54gl_wrtsl54gs Check that page for the information on how to install Gargoyle. If you are happy with Tomato 1.25, but want to try Gargoyle, try and backup your settings for Tomato before changing. That way, you can always put T...

Re: Wireless connection "times out" after a period of time
If the other users have had no problems, have you tried replacing the wireless adapter on your computer? Is your computer a notebook with internal wireless adapter? You should try another PCMCIA wireless adapter, or even one of the USB Wireless-G adapters. I have a cheapo Airlink 101 USB XR Wireless...

Re: Buffalo WHR-G125 - not working for install
Only cable I had connected was a LAN cable for flashing WAN port was open, nothing connected yet. When I TFP, the default IP for the WHR-G125 is 192.168.11.1 The flashing LOOKS like it works, but nothing happens. It goes through the process, then only shows the power LED I tried pinging 192.168.11.1...

Buffalo WHR-G125 - not working for install
The Buffalo WHR-G125 Broadcom 5354 chipset 4MB Flash / 16MB Ram Uses DD-WRT generic build, either mini or standard. Tried flashing the broadcom generic 1.0.6 build, no luck. I tried flashing from DD-WRT, I tried TFTP'ing the file, both said it was successfully flashed, but the device does not boot. ...

Re: QoS Philosophy
Firmware being used was one of the 1.0.x of Gargoyle. I've used DD-WRT for a while as well, and been a forum member there for a while. Lot of posts there also about torrents and how it clogs up the router and makes it very sluggish even though there's lots of RAM available. I'll try flashing the Fon...

http://boards.fon.com/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=5475 My Bad! Check that page. I didn't realize there are 2 La Fonera 2.0's coming out La Fonera 2.0 and La Fonera 2.0n The 2.0 looks like its atheros chipset based La Fonera 2.0n with Wireless-N capability will be RaLink chipset. Currently looks like th...
