Re: Qos Gargoyle

Yes, but mostly no. More possible in 1.14 than in previous versions (due to the switch from IMQ to IFB). That being said: - you would have no GUI (without rewriting it) - the script would need modification to suit a lack of Gargoyle specific firewall chains/tables - for latest openwrt it would need ...

Re: ghost hostname

I can’t really recall how it works on 1.12, but I suspect a stale ARP cache
cat /proc/net/arp

Re: ghost hostname

It comes from several places
/tmp/dhcp.leases
/tmp/dhcpv4configleases.gargoyle

Is the ghost entry in one of those?

Re: Version 1.14.0: Based on OpenWrt 22.03

Correct, https://github.com/openwrt/openwrt/issues/11077 Although there are several issues that have different information about the same thing, no real consolidated issue tracking it. My understanding of the issue is that all traffic is broadcast onto all switch ports, which can cause a leakage of ...

Re: X86 mini PC

You can self host them if you like using a web server. Or you can latch onto mine. https://lantisproject.com/gargoyle_custom/1.15.x_2203_test_builds/x86/ Just pick the two folders that are relevant to you. Assuming x64 and x64_kernelspecific. Of course my repo won’t have the extra wifi modules you’v...

Re: Stable or Experimental for WRT1900AC v1

1.13 (latest, not the release from several years ago) would be best.
There will be no 1.14 for that device. It will hopefully return in 1.15 as the upstream issue has been resolved.
