Re: Configuring Networks to Disable DNS over HTTPS
If a user has chosen to manually enable DoH, the signal from the network will be ignored and the user’s preference will be honored. Yes, if the client manually enters hard to go through DoH, then the game is over. I forgot to add that this is an automatic switching, not a manual setting - sorry for...

Configuring Networks to Disable DNS over HTTPS
Greeting everyone... In order for the web monitor and other Gargoyle functions to work, DoH must be deactivated for clients - Source Procedure for "dnsmasq" DNS resolver: 1. Edit the /etc/dnsmasq.conf file and add a line: server=/use-application-dns.net/ server=/cloudflare-dns.com/ server=...

Re: Blocking IP

Re: Openwrt 19.07 based Gargoyle
@Lantis, regarding Router Turris Omnia: So I learned that Turris has its own modified packages and will not work with OpenWrt without modification - it is a hardware cripto chip (ATSHA204), a switch (VLAN creation), LED (control + rainbow), SFP port. Based on this information, you may forget my requ...

Re: ar7161 (WNDR3700 etc.) Overclock Patches for Gargoyle
Is it possible to see what clock speed the cpu is running? Just want to make sure everything went fine @caeci11ius wrote: "Default speed is 680MHz, and you should now see 760/800 depending on the patch you used. Obviously, use only one at a time." So I do not know if today will help you +...

Re: Losing WAN connectivity
This could be an IMG/NAT problem.
Install the latest release since @ispyisail 1.11.X where this problem (and many others) should be solved: viewtopic.php?f=14&t=12159

Re: How to reset my TL-WR1043ND router
If you only want to reset to the default configuration (forgotten password, wrong configuration, ...), just go to " Failsafe Mode " and delete the entire configuration, first try " Soft Factory Reset " and if it does not help " Hard Factory Reset " . Video tutorial: htt...

Re: port forward rules not working wrt1900acv2
The system will automatically resolve them if DNS is known. If you want a listing without translations, use the -n (--numeric) switch.karenmcd wrote:Also, I am curious as to why iptables uses the host name instead of the ip as provided in the rule interface.
Example:
Code: Select all
iptables -L -n | grep 192.168.1.231

Re: port forward rules not working wrt1900acv2
 If your DMZ is working, there will be a problem opening the correct ports, try 27016. Instructions here: https://ark.gamepedia.com/Dedicated_Server_Setup#Port_Forwarding EDIT: Just note that OpenWrt since version 18.06 (Gargoyle 11.1.) Has no functional iptable helpers for security reasons! T...
