The show, the tell, and the appreciation.
I heard of Gargoyle from the dd-wrt forum, as the answer to fix a not-quite-stable Archer C7v2. It works great with Gargoyle 1.11rc1. Very reliable! In fact, I had come to rely on it because it is certainly the fastest that has includes well-working QOS and durable wifi. Then I wanted a backup. So, ...

Re: Speed Mode, proposal
There's a similar (if not identical) feature request on this opened issue on Gargoyle's GitHub. Please read the full discussion. You can do exactly this with the Services plugin . See if it works for you. Thanks. And then a question--which of the services in /plugin_root/www/js/initd.js, are Unsafe...

Speed Mode, proposal
With the new support of older models, they may need more appropriate cpu load. Just a wee checkbox for cancelling the auto-start of several CPU-intensive monitors. Then the pages that need the monitors could start them automatically on viewing the page, or have a button for it. I already did turn of...

Re: [BROKEN] Gargoyle 1.11.0 Release Candidate 3
You may have heard some negative. However, what you have accomplished amazes. Had someone told me that a mid level atheros could do low lag routinely and that QOS would be easy to do, I'd never believed it. Yet you have achieved it already.

4. Does this rule apply per client or across the entire range specified? This one sounds like a bit of work. Its not a bad suggestion, but also not something i'm overly sold/interested in. Got it done. And I added the mask to specify per client. QOS+Connlimit is how Linux supports numerous devices,...

Re: Gargoyle 1.11.0 Release Candidate 1
At the moment, I've only got 4 little ideas to contribute. They're all for reliability. 1 /etc/config/firewall config zone (wan) option input 'DROP' Its a bit less cpu intensive not to respond to scans. Also, http://www.grc.com/shieldsup The router needs default settings that pass that quality contr...

Re: Gargoyle 1.11.0 Release Candidate 1
Triage ideas... (for 8mb or maybe even smaller routers) You probably don't need to include BWmon and quotas in 8mb devices. That's the first thing the owners of older devices will turn off. If necessary, eliminate every USB thing, since the speed is quite bad on older devices and slows down the cpu ...

Re: Gargoyle 1.11.0 Release Candidate 1
Which file do I use for my Linksys E4200? I don't actually need the 5ghz, but I am in need of good 2.4ghz wifi, and the Gargoyle QOS. It isn’t compiled for Gargoyle (probably due to lack of 5ghz support). You would need to build it yourself from the brcm47xx target. The 5ghz wasn't needed. I chose ...

Have you tried 1.10.x for a comparison? 1.10.x is at the end of the development cycle 1.11.x is a the start. Archer C7v2, so I didn't load older versions. I did try manually editing to 30dbm, usa reg max (achieving neither radio max nor regulatory max, but rather a tiny fraction of it). Divide by 5...
