Optimize WiFi
Just for the love of tweaking, I want to optimize my WiFi connection. But somehow I do not get it above 73Mbps, though I have a 150Mbps connection. WIRED http://www.speedtest.net/result/3352337369.png WIFI http://www.speedtest.net/result/3352396114.png Some facts; - TP-Link 1043 v2.1 - Gargoyle 1.6....

Re: Minimum bandwidth setting?
That's what I expected indeed. But I don't see how to set it. I assume it's the QoS-Download I need to setup. But there I only see an option to set specific Services. http://oi61.tinypic.com/24finn5.jpg What I wanted is just giving a MINIMUM to all services by IP. So something like; IP: 192.168.1.12...

Minimum bandwidth setting?
Is there a way in Gargoyle 1.6.0 to set a MINIMUM speed on MAC or IP? In our house about 20 devices use WiFi. 5 persons with each their PC/Phone/Tablet besides that also Media Player, TV, Setupbox, BluRay, printer, XBox. All mostly working without any problem. But my son and daughter found out how t...

Re: 40Mhz impossible? (TP-Link 1043 V2.1)
I feel so stupid. I am reading the entire thread over and over, following links-to-links-to-links but don't know which specific hack you mean. Maybe you explained it in this post: http://www.gargoyle-router.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=3231#p14641 But I don't see exactly how I can "make i...

Re: 40Mhz impossible? (TP-Link 1043 V2.1)
Even though INSSIDER tells me I have a 450Mbps Max rate, it still just works at 20Mhz. Might this be a solution? from: http://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/uci/wireless 40 MHz channel (300 Mbps) Stuck at 130Mbps? Get 300Mbps! Note: this violates regulatory requirements. Edit the file /etc/config/wireless, an...

Re: 40Mhz impossible? (TP-Link 1043 V2.1)
One step forward.... Installed: Webshell and used this; cd /tmp/ wget http://luci.subsignal.org/~jow/reghack/reghack.mips.elf chmod +x reghack.mips.elf ./reghack.mips.elf /lib/modules/*/ath.ko ./reghack.mips.elf /lib/modules/*/cfg80211.ko reboot This worked on Gargoyle-ispy 2014-February-16 http://w...

Re: 40Mhz impossible? (TP-Link 1043 V2.1)
Thank you, but would enabling Channel 12 & 13 make 40Mhz possible? It's not that crowdy with WiFi signals here.
These Linux codes hacks look like abracadabra to me
Don't even see a way to include those hacks.
All I see is the option to add plugins through URL

40Mhz impossible? (TP-Link 1043 V2.1)
For over a week I am strugling with this firmware combined with a TP-Link 1043. To tell the short version: hardware: TP-Link 1043 V2.1 with Gargoyle 1.6 Internet connection: 150 Mb/s down, 10 Mb/s up Wifi-N card: Ralink 3090 (150 Mbps) To exclude all interference: Placed router next to laptop connec...
