These repositories are maintained by the OpenWrt team, we have no control over it.

Re: opk error - 404/Not Found
Yes, rc5 is not available at openwrt respositiories yet, you should use rc4 for now, but remember that kernel modules will not work (different kernel versions), but it is ok for apps.

Re: [SOLVED] Bricked router restoring incompatible settings ?
Remember to not restore settings from different hardware. All the chip-related features (switch ports for example) depends on the hardware model and will cause such behaviour

Re: No USB access when user+pwd
It is a known issue from OpenWrt (the base system of Gargoyle). It uses a very old (3.0.x) version of Samba and is not compatible with Windows Vista/7. This version was stripped down manually to achieve a small binary and memory footprint, and it seems nobody wants to do the same again for newer, wi...

Re: [SOLVED] WR1043ND - wifi requires voodoo to switch channels
Belbo can you see connected hosts with Doritos' build ? I did nothing except building from a most recent SVN revision. If there are something on the SVN to fix that issue, it should be ok, but I did not add anything manually to the source. Personally I don't use this page, so not sure if it display...

Re: [SOLVED] WR1043ND - wifi requires voodoo to switch channels
Well, I don't know the inner workings of the 40mhz. According to 802n standard, you should not use 40Mhz if it will overlap another signal in the neighborhood, this option just tell "do not scan for overlapping signals, start the additional channel anyway". Some tools like InSSIDer can dis...

Re: WR1043ND - wifi requires voodoo to switch channels
I think your problems are not related Look http://www.gargoyle-router.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=1340 thread and try my build for the 40mhz problem, you'll have to add a option to the wireless config file (noscan = 1) /etc/config/wireless config 'wifi-device' 'radio0' option 'type' 'mac80211'...

Later I'll share my build here and you can try. I had the exact same issue.
Btw, beware that by default, openwrt is configured to not start 40Mhz if you have overlapping neighbors, so unless you change a setting in the command line, you won't get true 300mbs N speeds.
