Re: Should I be able to get to my modem?
One word - QOS :) WHole network has every item on the network allocated to QOS With gragoyle you can still use the DHCP server to assign Fixed IP address to each machine. This is a much better way of do this because you get the best of both worlds http://www.gargoyle-router.com/wiki/doku.php?id=ban...

Re: Should I be able to get to my modem?
If I plug my oc directly to the modem I can access it using 192.168.1.2 (or I changed it to 192.168.10.1 or what it is now 192.168.1.254) - I don't do anything else just move the cat5 cable from the router to the modem and I gain access. However with it through the router I can't see it. my guess i...

Re: Should I be able to get to my modem?
Looks like you might be doing a double NAT
Just leave your dg834 as is
192.168.1.1
255.255.255.0
Just change gargoyle to
192.168.10.1
255.255.255.0
Might want to reboot bot routers just in case...........
I suspect it will just work?

Re: Should I be able to get to my modem?
I suspect both routers are on the same subnet
If this is the case change one of the routers for example
192.168.10.1
and leave the other router
192.168.1.1

Re: Gargoyle obtain different DHCP WAN IP Adress than TP-LIN
So your router is working fine with a custom MAC address ?I have a Internet Access when I use Custom WAN MAC with this 192.168.1.82 DNS enabled.
I assumed your router connected to your ISP but you still couldn't connect to the internet with a client PC.

Re: Gargoyle obtain different DHCP WAN IP Adress than TP-LIN
That was my thoughts as well, but I don't fully understand his setupthis DNS setting could also be the reason why you do not have Internet access.
