Re: Device won't take right static ip
I turned it on to dhcp, it instantly git that 215 address again...but I port scanned it and saw no dhcp server on it. Wonder what would happen if I put a device on 215 then tried dhcp.

Re: Device won't take right static ip
Ahh yes, seems the culprit is the NVR. It acts as a dhcp server commented cameras....but in the process hands out dhcp to itself (even though the listed gateway when it's a dhcp client us the router). Hmm interesting. Will have to see what the connected cameras do with dhcp turned off when I try it ...

Re: Device won't take right static ip
Yeah I have a 12 hour lease time. So should have expired over night, so when I told it to switch over the dhcp today it should have gone to the address I wanted. Alas no. I did see some errors around won't assign name NVR to device on 215 as its in the hosts as 64. Almost so makes me think it's gett...

Device won't take right static ip
I put a new device on the network, a camera NVR from dahua. It took a .215 address from the dhcp pool. I then used the dhcp page and to,do the device to be .64 with the name NVR. I then told the device to restart and again it took the 215 address. So I forced the device on to 64 and turned off dhcp,...

Re: High end install - good hardware
I think the wrt1900ac would do it but I can't test. Yeah that's probably the one I'd heard of. That's a fairly new model right? So would expect the RAM/CPU in it to be relatively current. @eric - I only have one quota set up for a guest network...and after going to UFB I think I turned off most of ...

Re: High end install - good hardware
Im using a V2 WR1043nd currently. Potentially looking for something else that will keep up at least with my 100MBit connection....or is we get faster with work for that as well. Looking at some of the Linksys open source dd-wrt compatible routers, or mitrotik routerboards - anything with a bit of gr...

High end install - good hardware
So what would be the "flagship" router that gargoyle capable? My WR1043ND I think, is getting a bit overwhelmed. I have a 100 mbit/20 mbit fibre connection. Something with 5 gigabit ports - maybe wireless - but I'm not too fussed by that (have two other old routers for APs. Supports I love...

Re: WR1043nd (1.8) with Gargoyle 1.8.0 - Web UI Crashing
Have you seen reports that it's relatively stable on a 2.1 wr1043nd? And I'll god it a go. I assume no direct upgrade from 1.8 to 1.9.x and preserve settings?Lantis wrote:that one is only 1.9.X

IS that fixed in 1.8.1 or 1.9.0 or both?
