Re: WDS setup using Gargoyle
1) try Wireless Mode: AP+WDS for second AP as well 2) disable Firewall/routing for second AP to check if WDS is working: a) open telnet/ssh b) check ifconfig, iwconfig you should have wlan0.sta listed and working Unfortunately Gargoyle (or OpenWrt/LuCI) doesn't have web interface to display WDS conn...

Re: WNDR3700 Support
Cezary, I noticed you also have build for TP-Link WR1043ND And some additional packages for USB port, like USB IP WHat would be your recommendation for USB packages to be installed on router with USB port, like WR1043ND? I mean - real working and useful packages. BTW: has someone tried to share Vide...

Re: separate ap in wireless repeater mode`
I think yes, it's possible.
Try to switch your Linksys WRT54GL to WPA2-PSK (AES)
And than use Repeater to repeat its signal.
I was testing similar scheme with WPA-PSK.
And it was working. But both routers were using (same) Atheros chipset.

Re: Version 1.3.7
My plan is to release another bugfix release that includes these fixes in the near future. Eric, can you also including Wireless Bandwidth Monitoring into upcoming release? And more verbose information about WDS connection (with RSSI level, Link Up/Link Down) would be very helpful. I uploaded yeste...

Re: Migration from OpenWrt Backfire to Gargoyle
Thanks a lot!
Upgraded my TP-Link WR841ND from OpenWrt (LuCI) to Gargoyle 1.3.7 few minutes ago.
Everything working very well so far.
BTW: WDS (AP+WDS) on WR841ND/Gargoyle works together with WR1043ND (with native TP-Link firmware) just out of the box.
Excellent!
