Re: Too much SPAM in the last Months

Every time I see spam, I report it. I actively look for it so others don't have to deal with it...

Re: Getting out of AP Mode

Gargoyle 1.6.2 has wireless problems on quite a few routers, just roll back to 1.6.1 and disable ANI, all should work fine again :)

Re: ANI weirdness

Ok, got OpenWRT BB running on my router, it's rock solid stable even in a very noisy wireless environment, the motel where I'm currently staying has an AP, a wireless router, and my router, and 16 different networks from the neighbors, all running on overlapping channels. My router is a client to th...

A few unrelated things

Security related: I would like to see better security when accessing a router over HTTPS and SSH. Keys being generated by the router at first boot would be better than the current way of having a pre-generated key, even if it's only an option, I believe many people would use it. Reliability related:...

Re: Wrong addresses assigned after reboot (sometimes)

I had a similar problem, I ended up giving up on assigned static IPs. On most small networks, dnsmasq will give the same IP to a client, even after reboots. It does this by using a hashing algorithm on the MAC address, as long as there are no hash collisions (and they are fairly unlikely to happen o...

Re: Getting out of AP Mode

I believe you're looking for failsafe mode, as Gargoyle is based on OpenWRT, this should work for you :)

Re: Firefox 32 not show bandwidth

In that case, try flashing the router again, mine has failed to flash correctly once, flashing a second time fixed it. I'm currently on Gargoyle 1.6.1 and it works fine on my system.

Re: Firefox 32 not show bandwidth

Try clearing your cache, I have to every time I change gargoyle builds.

Re: ANI weirdness

Ok, ANI on STA's side appears to be good, but on AP's side, it appears to be bad. My previous findings with an open network were messed up by NetworkManager on my laptop, when the wifi dropped, it automatically reconnected on a decrypted network, but when encrypted, it never knew it had been dropped...

Re: Gargoyle affected by Bash/Shellshock?

No, as gargoyle doesn't use bash, it's unaffected. It actually uses ash, a shell built-in to busybox. But i did run the test to find out on gargoyle 1.6.1, it's unaffected (test fails to run as variables can't run commands). :)
