Re: Where are the data of quotas saved?
I'm in the same boat as a relative newcomer to command line. when I call restore_quotas I get "ERRROR WAN not defined". I can scp individual quotas to and from my computer to change the values, but then stuck on how to get them into kernel memory. Doing a little googling gets me to the gar...

Quotas not restoring correctly
I'm having an issue with quota usage getting lost when I make changes to the DHCP assignments and/or quota tables. I did a backup of settings before adding a DHCP assignment and deleting a few others, and in the quota files, the usage is correct. But after the addition/subtraction of users, half the...

Re: DHCP keeps turing itself on?
I'm having the same issue with a similar setup. I have a master router on 1.10 as the DHCP server (TP-Link WDR3600), and a TP-Link WDR4300 with 1.12 on it acting as a remote bridge/access point (linked via ethernet cable) with DHCP turned off. Every week or so it turns the DHCP back on by itself whi...

Re: Changing QoS limits depending on hour
That seems to have worked. The total bandwidth limit changes now in the GUI. Thanks.

Re: Changing QoS limits depending on hour
Here are my two lines, based on this conversation from 2015: https://www.gargoyle-router.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=30982#p30982 I grabbed the root file using WinSCP, edited it in wordpad, and put it back in the crontab folder. I just put the two lines at the end of the file. (I also did a test where...

Changing QoS limits depending on hour
Hi all, I've searched the forums and found a helpful thread about editing the root crontab to increase QoS download and upload limits (in my case, after working hours, so users can enjoy full available bandwidth at night). I applied the code and restarted the router, but I notice that the http GUI s...

Scheduled reboot more often?
Hi y’all,
I’d like my router to reboot twice a day vs once (the DHCP assignment seems to get messed up randomly every few days). Is that possible via a method other than the GUI (which is all I currently know how to use)?
Thanks,
Andrew

Re: Wireless Bridge/Repeater
I’m using the master router to hand out DHCP assignments to manage quotas, so I have to enforce DHCP assignments. Am I correct in understanding that the checkbox simply does a double-check of DHCP assignments to prevent MAC spoofing? Otherwise MACs are still assigned IP addresses based on the table?

Re: Wireless Bridge/Repeater
I think I'm running into an issue surrounding this. I have a gargoyle router acting as a DHCP/DNS server for the whole network and another gargoyle router connected via a long cable broadcasting a wireless network to cover a different area. That works great, everyone has network access. However, I h...

Re: Best way to Configure Gargoyle Repeater With Same SSID
Are you connecting only the modem and first router via cable? Everything else is connected wirelessly?
