I think there are other problems with this build
I tried to set up a standard AP router but it set its self in transparent AP mode which I didn't want. Very strange

Hi all I think there needs to be a better way of fixing static IPs to new hosts. Currently I have tried to cut and paste the MAC address to Fixed IP address. I was unsuccessful so in the end I just manually typed the MAC address in.. In other systems they have the ability to tick a box and manually ...

I flash so may of these devices so i can't remember the exact procedure but your PC should set to obtain an IP address from your router (DHCP server). If you can't pull an IP address there might be something else wrong.
