Re: ASUS RT-N16
Well, finally gave in and installed OpenWRT BB and all is well. I'm intentionally not using the wireless radio on the router but all is well (although I did briefly test it and it seemed to work fine). I'd still love to see a Gargoyle build for the RT-N16, but things are chugging along fine with Ope...

Re: ASUS RT-N16
I should add that there's no USB support either. Doesn't look like it's fully supported. Maybe one of the devs could chime in?Poincare wrote:So .... we're still not seeing Gargoyle firmware for the Asus Rt-N16 even while OpenWRT now officially supports this router?

Re: Version 1.7.0 - Barrier Breaker Bugs
(1) Problems with Theme/Plugin installation -- Confirmed, but only after initial first boot. Rebooting after installation resolves this. I've seen this intermittent bug before. I think this has to do with a quirk of the filesystem, and I would have to get into some low level code to resolve it prop...

Re: ASUS RT-N16
I decided to attempt to setup a PPTP server on the RT-N16 but noticed that the only plugins listed are languages. Are plugins available on this router?
Other than that, it's been running without issues since yesterday afternoon.

Re: Gargoyle-ispy 2015-January-02.7z
Oh well, I guess I can wait. How about the 5GHz radio? works for other routers, can't say for he C7 I've read on OpenWRT forum that the 5GHz radio on the Archer C7 V2 needs the kmod-ath10k package in order to work. I've tried installing it via: opkg update opkg install kmod-ath10k but I get an depe...

Re: Gargoyle-ispy 2015-January-02.7z
or more importantly, wireless AC. there is no AC for gargoyle when openwrt gets it we should follow http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/tl-wdr7500 For the Archer C7 v1.x and WDR7500 v2.x, the 5GHz 802.11a/n/ac functionality is not supported, and likely will never be, since support for the AR1A (v1)...

Anyone have any luck with the Archer C7 and dual band? I don't see any GUI option for two bands, or more importantly, wireless AC. screen shots please Finally got around to installing it again: 1.7.X (Built 20150109-0720 git@da35789) http://s29.postimg.org/ls40z2faf/Screen_Shot_2015_01_17_at_3_39_0...

Re: ASUS RT-N16
Okay, decided to give it ago, and so far, it seems to work fine. I used gargoyle_1.7.x-brcm47xx-generic-squashfs.trx from ispyisail's Jan 10th build - 1.7.X (Built 20150109-0720 git@da35789). At the moment, I have wifi disabled on the RT-N16 so I can't comment on wifi performance. I'm using an Arche...
