OK, I was hoping it may be possible to go directly from DD-WRT to Gargoyle, has anyone done that? I did it, but not on the 1043, but on a 703. Original firmware is chinese, and I wasn't willing to install that one ;) IIRC, I had to update from the telnet login (mtd and such), as it didn't work from...

This would likely add a lot of wear to the flash chip. It should be possible to do it on a USB stick or a network drive.
