Re: gargoyle-ispy 2015-May-20 05:57.torrent
1.6.2 is stable That may well be, but from browsing the forum I see some people having similar problems when running TP-LINK devices in client mode. e.g.: http://www.gargoyle-router.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=6253 http://www.gargoyle-router.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=6636 (last post...

1.6.2 is stable I would check for wifi interference or overlap use your android or iphone to do a wifi scan of the area. This is a green field location. No foreign networks around, and my own ones are well spread. At the location of the troublesome link, no other stations are visible on channel 3. ...

Re: gargoyle-ispy 2015-May-20 05:57.torrent
I've installed 1.6.2 now. Immediately after, there was no connection to the remote AP, see attached log from the SSH session. The wifi command reported an error, but succeeded nevertheless, and now the link is working. Now to wait and see if it remains stable... No, has already dropped again while I...

Re: gargoyle-ispy 2015-May-20 05:57.torrent
Is it possible to downgrade from 1.7.x 2015-05-20 to 1.6.2 while preserving settings? No you cannot preserve settings between 1.6 an 1.7 in either direction as there is a (probable) risk of bricking. Okay, so I'll do it the hard way tomorrow morning. Regards Ektus. (23:20 local time, gn8 and good m...

Re: gargoyle-ispy 2015-May-20 05:57.torrent
Is there a Gargoyle version that's better suited for my purpose and the WR1043ND V2.1? It might be interesting/worthwhile for you to try Gargoyle v1.6.2 as you do not appear to be requiring an features new in 1.7.x Is it possible to downgrade from 1.7.x 2015-05-20 to 1.6.2 while preserving settings...

Re: gargoyle-ispy 2015-May-20 05:57.torrent
I've got a new TL-WR1043ND v2.1 and installed this version. Reason for using Gargoyle: This router has to operate in client mode to link a remote network segment to the main network, all in the same subnet. OpenWRT doesn't seem to support this, for AR71xx, but Gargoyle does. Install and configuratio...

Re: Advice on TL-WR1043ND from DD-WRT to Gargoyle
OK, I was hoping it may be possible to go directly from DD-WRT to Gargoyle, has anyone done that? I did it, but not on the 1043, but on a 703. Original firmware is chinese, and I wasn't willing to install that one ;) IIRC, I had to update from the telnet login (mtd and such), as it didn't work from...

Re: Backup and Restore of Usage Data over Reset
This would likely add a lot of wear to the flash chip. It should be possible to do it on a USB stick or a network drive.

Solved: Routing problems on Wireless Bridge
Hi all,
turned out it was not a Gargoyle problem, but a misconfigured route entry on the main router.
