Doubts in creating second 'guest' network
Hi everyone, I'm creating a second 'guest' wireless network, I'm following the instructions found in this thread https://www.gargoyle-router.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=6358&start=10 I'm going for suffix /25 'whatever that means' for maximum guest hosts. The ultimate purpose is to reduce ...

Re: Accesing gargoyle GUI in bridge mode
Interesting now I bridged to a different AP, a meraki MX60W.
Gateway: 10.0.0.190
Bridge: 10.0.0.151
PC: 10.0.0.172
pc -> bridge -> AP
Now i can access gargoyle GUI at both 10.0.0.151 and its original 192.168.0.1
So, the issue could be the modem AP?

Re: Accesing gargoyle GUI in bridge mode
PC ping to 192.168.1.64 100% lost. I do can see other clients.
I think PC is getting IP from bridge, it is not listed in modem dhcp, and cannot connect to it.

Re: Accesing gargoyle GUI in bridge mode
bridge -> modem <- Pc (auto ip). Can access 192.168.1.64
Pc (auto ip) -> bridge -> modem. Cannot access 192.168.1.64
Well PC is in the subnet as 192.168.1.69 just thay it doesnt show up in the modem dhcp, i suppose because it is through the bridge.

Re: Accesing gargoyle GUI in bridge mode
Hi mate the DHCP server on your mane router gives your bridge a different IP, from the one that you typed in on it's webinterface. Hi, i know this. I'll to simplify: Bridge > modem < pc = can access both modem and router GUIs. Pc > bridge > modem = can access modem GUI. cannot access bridge GUI. Wh...

Re: Accesing gargoyle GUI in bridge mode
The gargoyle router is wirelessly bridged to the modem? Yes. I did what you said, but it only works when the PC (auto ip) is directly connected to the modem ap, i cannot reach gargoyle GUI when connecting the pc to the bridge itself (gargoyle router). As I said in this case I would have to shutdown...

Re: How do i check the installed build version?
I suspect it is working since upon login settings are restored. just that the upgrading message is a bit misleading.
I'll guess I'm on "latest" 1.9.1 whatever. Anyways, is it worth going 1.9.x?
