Several users with late model Archer c7 v2's who have been experiencing this problem have now tested my image and it works fine.

There was a small problem with that build. Something didn't work properly. I'll try and produce a new image over the weekend. That being said, if the downgrade method works for you, any "official" image produced will give no benefits except that the name of the router will appear correctly.
