Plugins/Themes/Languages Don't Install
I'm having an odd problem with this router. I've tried two Gargoyle firmwares - 1.6.2 and 1.7.1 and both have the same behavior. Any theme I install from the plug-ins page doesn't work. It'll install and get listed in the Themes page, but once I select it, it'll look like the following for any theme...

Re: Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH2 WiFi Drops
Just an update. It did it again 4-5 hours later. I discovered that when this happens, if you get near the router, the WiFi transmit rate goes back to normal. Going a room away drops it to near 0. Below is the log of when it happened: Tue Jul 14 15:10:22 2015 daemon.info hostapd: wlan0: STA b8:8d:12:...

Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH2 WiFi Drops
I have Gargoyle 1.7.1 on a Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH2 since yesterday. Yesterday it worked for ~12 hours before doing this problem, and today about 3 hours. Not sure of the cause. Anyways, it randomly does this thing where after some time, all WiFi devices will switch to 5Mbps transmit rate / 0 MCS Inde...

Re: Gargolyle and Hilink modem
OK - after lots of searching I have a solution. The Gargoyle version on this site does not appear to work with Hilink modems (or certainly not my one). The kernel is incompatible with cdc-ether from opkg which I believe is needed for Hilink to work. This is a shame, and I have not found a solution ...

Re: QoS help on 740N
1.6.2 is based on OpenWRT Attitude Adjustment while 1.7 and above are based on OpenWRT Barrier Breaker. Since you fixed your speed issue, did it fix your uTorrent issue? You might need to manually activate uPNP in Firewall page. Also, make sure QoS settings are not hurting uTorrent ports. Since you...

Re: Geektool
Do you use QoS to prevent any one device from hogging all your bandwidth? If not, try the following: http://www.gargoyle-router.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=7261 Since Gargoyle does per IP sharing by default, it'll split available bandwidth equally between active devices to prevent any one dev...

Re: Need help setting up QoS for the first time.
@Volaris Nice post some grate info! Thanks! @Volaris Thanks so much for the help. I have set up my QoS the way you have said and it's working pretty well so far. Awesome guide to getting me started with QoS. Thanks again :D I'm having a bit of trouble with the download speeds now :s On speedtest.ne...

Re: Need help setting up QoS for the first time.
QoS will be really helpful given your speeds. If set-up correctly, it'll improve everyone's browsing experience and keep pings low for all. As it is, even a video or an app update on a phone can saturate your connection (and cause high pings / laggy browsing). I'm going to show you my setup that has...

Re: Support for Buffalo WZR-600DHP2
^ agree with the above post. That being said, there seems to be DD-WRT support for it. Buffalo just posted (6/30/15) a DD-WRT ugprade file/instructions in the download tab. (there's two firmwares, regular and professional (DD-WRT)): http://www.buffalo-technology.com/en/products/network-devices/dual-...
