Re: Gargoyle bleeding edge build (OpenWRT 36307, debugfs)
BashfulBladder: I did some playing around with it and I see what you mean, because when I specify BB in build.sh, it breaks the build process. I haven't used many packages, but nano, transmission and pptp(needs --force-deps) all work. I do fully expect a brick, or things exploding very soon! jchapma...

Re: Gargoyle bleeding edge build (OpenWRT 36307, debugfs)
BashfulBladder: You know, I completely forgot about BB! It looks like the structure is still similar enough to work, because I use everything on the Gargoyle end, except USB printing, routing, quotas and restrictions. The guest SSID workaround also works, but I reckon there will be a point wen the d...

Re: Gargoyle bleeding edge build (OpenWRT 36307, debugfs)
Not sure why Openwrt is showing just an R... Maybe something got changed and the gargolye build script isn't picking the string up? EDIT: Next build, I'll specify the openwrt version, instead of blanking it out (for latest) in the build sh file. ------------------------------------------------------...

Re: slow USB hard drive transfer rate
That's about what I get on NTFS, too. There's some info on
http://www.gargoyle-router.com/phpbb/vi ... 1109#p5292 , but not much you can do, if you want to keep NTFS.

Re: Gargoyle Bleeding edge build (Openwrt 36089 + debugfs)
Can anyone confirm whether the bug that prevents a Gargoyle router connecting to an xBox and some HP Printers has been fixed yet in this bleeding edge release? A quick look through https://dev.openwrt.org/log/branches/attitude_adjustment?mode=follow_copy yields nothing glaring from 35631 to 36088. ...

Re: USB Hard Drive Transfer Rate Testing! Come Get Some!
In order to get mount options like noatime going on every mount, without breaking gargoyle's automount, I just edited the appropriate filesystem in /etc/init.d/usb_mount
In my case, NTFS, since I want the drive to work without fuss on windows boxes...

WAN port packet loss/connection drops (1043ND, solution)
I'm not quite sure what triggered it, but once I got to a certain AA build, I started getting packet loss on my WAN port, followed by a connection down/up after a while. Long story (VERY LONG, involving installing Debian on a vmware machine and many firmware compiles) short, I finally noticed that m...

Re: ar71xx drops to 1Mbit/packet loss - possible workaround.
To enable "disable_ani" on newer builds. I presume this works on all, but only tested on today's git pull (1/april) Get the compile setup all done, then: Copy usb_large to a new profile called debug_usb_large, edit "config" Find CONFIG_KERNEL_DEBUG_FS that's commented out and cha...
