Re: Correct DNS settings for static WAN IP?
You're right, having two DNS would be redundant. I think it was just a bit confusing for me for it to be in the LAN section. But is there any actual difference whether it's in the WAN or LAN section, if both ways work the same? I'm testing the new beta-4.6 firmware as I write this. I think it needs ...

Re: Correct DNS settings for static WAN IP?
Entering the DNS server entries using the Gargoyle UI (and therefore in the LAN section) does work though. I "think" it's a mistake in the UI, since the WAN DNS should only be an available option if static IP is chosen, and the LAN DNS should be a "static DNS" option that are pas...

Re: Custom layer7 patterns
Looks like 8.09 RC2 is released, so there's no need to change the opkg.conf any more now.hotzenpl0tz wrote: Oh btw: the opkg config file points to a location that doesn't seem to exist, so opkg update fails. I changed the RC2 in the path to RC1 to get it working again.

Re: 2 Things
Hi, the upgrade problem was user error. Kamikaze only allows flashing trx files and I was incorrectly using the bin file. Since Gargoyle doesn't check for the error, it displays the "Upgrade in Progress" page, and nothing happens in the GUI. Oops...

Re: 2 Things
Thanks, the webmon startup problem appears to be fixed.
BTW, is firmware uploading fixed after beta1? It didn't seem to work with beta3 either. (WRT54GL)

Re: access restrictions rules
Thanks, two UI issues as repoted have been fixed. Regarding the whitelist, I agree that a "whitelist" could potentially be confusing to a novice user if hidden inside the "restrictions" page, but right now Gargoyle is the only third party firmware with whitelist implemented, and ...
