Re: Network issue difficult to debug
I tried some nslookup from Gargoyle terminal: it fails most of the time (can't resolve) or if it works, it is very very slow

Network issue difficult to debug
My router is working well since several months without issue. Then I got the "time warp" issue solved 3 days ago (https://www.gargoyle-router.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=11227&p=46608#p46608). It was working well since but I got some new problems right now. I have my own DNS &quo...

Hi, My TP Link WR841 V10 was working well with Gargoyle 1.9.1 since several months. Rock Solid. But yesterday, internet connection was constantly dropping every 30sec - 1min. After quick check, it is the router that is rebooting every 30sec - 1min. I deactivate WiFi => the same I updated succesfully...

Re: Remote restriction activation
So I dit it through UCI command but I have an issue to make it happen. I mean, I change the rule enabled option, then I commit (and I see it in the gargoyle web interface) and then I do /etc/init.d/firewall restart but it doesn't apply the change. I need to do /etc/init.d/network restart to make it ...

Remote restriction activation
Hi
I would like to activate some firewall resteiction rules I set through my home automation system (running on a raspberry pi and capable to run any script).
Is there a way to activate / deactivate a restriction rule from outside the router (through a script on the network for example)?
Thx

Re: Gargoyle and Pi-Hole (ad-blocking)
So I found the root cause... Browsing iptable and dnsmasq config, I eventually found something about "intercepting DNS" option which makes me think about a Gargoyle DNS option "Force clients to use router DNS server". I did not really understand how "powerful" this opti...

Re: Gargoyle and Pi-Hole (ad-blocking)
What DNS server are the devices set to use? They should be pointing at the router, which will do the forwarding. If that is the current scenario, try pointing them directly at the Pi-hole. If that resolves the issue, we could change dnsmasq to advertise the pi-hole directly rather than itself (I be...
