You want the lan port of your netgear into the WAN of your gargoyle.

I am pretty sure you can do PPTP (I think it might be a plugin) but if it applies to Openwrt it should work fine in gargoyle.

you have created a service class, but have you created a rule to bump the traffic into this service class?

Actually it's about a cache option that was available in AA, removed in BB, and repatched in for CC but then not back ported. I may suggest it to Eric for the next build. updated successfully on WNDR3800 from 1.7.0 to 1.7.1 with attempt to preserve settings ticked.

Web Usage monitor seemed to auto enable itself which was odd.

I would suggest that perhaps your ping target is unavailable.
Try using a manual ping target and use openDNS or similar and see if it works. Then we can try and pick a more suitable server.
