Re: gargoyle-ispy 2018-March-25 12:56
Sorry, just saw this at the top
Tracing route to twitch.tv [195.46.39.1]
For some reason tracert has decided that twitch.tv's IP address is 195.46.39.1 but this is wrong, this is the blockpage of safedns. I've done a ipconfig /flushdns but it didn't change the result. Now very confused...

Ok, here's something curious, at least to me :?: When I type the following: Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.16299.371] (c) 2017 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved. C:\Users\paula>tracert twitch.tv Tracing route to twitch.tv [195.46.39.1] over a maximum of 30 hops: 1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms Gargoyl...

Re: gargoyle-ispy 2018-March-25 12:56
Ok, I've made the change to /etc/dnsmasq.conf, is there anyway that I can check that it's working? I'm still having problems but can't seem to find out why. The funny thing is that it works differently on some machines. Meaning on one machine the site is blocked but on another it isn't???

Re: gargoyle-ispy 2018-March-25 12:56
I've switched to dnsomatic, which "seems" to be working, so I'll test. The real problem I have, which I'm still trying to sort out, is with safedns.com. safedns has a profile that can change based on time. It's similar to OpenDNS but has a schedule, so categories of sites can be blocked ba...

Is anyone having problems with Dynamic DNS on this release? I have set the refresh for 15 minutes but have noticed that it's been 203 days since a refresh and in the mean time the IP address has changed.

Re: gargoyle-ispy 2018-February-22 22:31
Yeah, I know what your saying, though it's very curious that upstairs I can connect at 150 mbps, while downstairs, 25 meters away it will connect at only 72 mbps. I've never seen it connect at stronger than that. ... news at hand ... Just checked again and it looks like it's connecting at 144mbps. I...

Re: gargoyle-ispy 2018-February-22 22:31
This release looks ok, a few quirks I'm trying to track down. One thing that is curious. I have a powerline extender (TP-Link) in the bedroom, so I can get stronger wifi there as the router is at the other end of the house. If I connect to wifi in the bedroom I can get 150mbps on 2.4GHz, which is as...

Re: gargoyle-ispy 2017-October-25 22:58.torrent - 1.9.x Final
I've just upgraded my Archer C7 V2. It's looking good so far. For what it's worth, I don't have any problem with keeping Gargoyle running on my router because it started with the old TP-Link firmware before TP-Link created a release where it didn't allow you to depreciate it. I have an old version o...

Just remember, it's quite difficult to get the hack to work. It may be a concern if you are using wifi at work and someone is keen to break in but in a home network, you'd need a pretty dedicated hacker to drive by your home to hack your wifi. In an apartment block it may be a different story.
