Re: DDNS not working
HI Lantis, Yes, I can connect to Gargoyle remotely over the web (https://my-ip-address) and via SSH with no problem. (Has to be from a different IP than my own. If I try over LAN, I get a Forbidden message). But as I said, using the domain no-ip gave me, I get "ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED" mess...

Re: DDNS not working
Hi Lantis, Logread shows updates (when needed) are successful. Most of the time log says it checked and update not necessary. You're definitely visiting the HTTPS variant of your domain (rather than specifying :443)? No. I just realized that even though I put :443 in front of my ip when logging in o...

DDNS not working
Hello, I've added my no-ip.com account into my Gargoyle router's DDNS setup. When I force update, Gargoyle responds: Update successful. However, when I go to the domain no-ip gave me, I get page not found error. I have no problem logging into Gargoyle remotely using https using my ip and :443. Probl...

Re: One modem, two router, two networks - going crazy to figure it out
Lantis, thank you so much for all your kind help. Until I get the chance to replace the cable, I am working on using Router #2 as wireless relay using this tutorial: https://www.gargoyle-router.com/wiki/doku.php?id=bridge_repeater In this picture, https://www.gargoyle-router.com/wiki/lib/exe/detail....

Re: One modem, two router, two networks - going crazy to figure it out
@RomanHK You know your post made me think. Are you saying the cable connected to Router #1's LAN could respond differently when connected to a router than when connected to a laptop? It has juice on a laptop but the router isn't getting anything, it seems. The cable connecting the two routers is 100...

Re: One modem, two router, two networks - going crazy to figure it out
Hi Lantis, thank you for staying with me. I restored the Gargoyle configuration of both routers to default and did a physical reset too. Changed all the cables to new cables I checked with other devices. Router #1 is set to 192.168.1.1, subnet mask 255.255.255.0, DNS SERVERS SPECIFIED BY ISP, connec...

Re: One modem, two router, two networks - going crazy to figure it out
Hi, You had indicated that important to know the subnet of the modem too. The screenshot I posted, does that tell you the subnet of the modem? Is it 255.255.248.0 ? how about if I reset both routers and start with the default setting of Gargoyle? Perhaps at some point I inadvertently changed a setti...

Re: One modem, two router, two networks - going crazy to figure it out
Lantis, I am relieved to find your response. I thought you gave up on me until just now I realized your response was on the NEXT page of the forum. What is the blanked out IP address? Is it private scope or public? The IP address that is blanked out is the same as my IP address on the internet, exce...
