Re: Need Help Setting Up Repeater - And Some Teaching
I'm struggling with this after updating the router from 1.7.x to 1.15.x. This router acts as a bridge to a remote wifi access point. The network topology is as follows: [main router 192.168.0.180] ---LAN--- [bridge router 192.168.0.174, LAN port] ---WiFi bridge--- [remote router/ap 192.168.0.173 in ...

Re: The future of Gargoyle in 2022
(c) has prevented me from updating for a long time now, but I'm still running all compatible routers with Gargoyle. I simply like the interface and ease of use, and currently can get by without IP V6 and the main router (Archer C7) is fast enough. When buying a new router I generally don't consider ...

Re: WDR4300 as Wireless Bridge can't get IP sometimes
I'd try installing the ping watchdog on the WDR4300, set the main router's IP as target and issue the command "wifi" as action (or restart wifi might be in the list of pre-definded commands).

Re: Semi-bricked Archer C7 V2
I'm very lazy with updating, as version changes require starting from scratch. So my Gargoyle devices tend to be of the "never touch a running system" type. My router is still running 1.11.X (Built 20190413-2151 git@29b57d66), current uptime is 100 days.

Re: 1.13.0.x gargoyle-ispy 2021-January-26 17.torrent
I was able to download the torrent, but my router is having trouble reaching most of the trackers and hasn't uploaded anything yet: 1.13.0.x gargoyle-ispy 2021-January-26 17.7z Tier 1 udp://tracker.openbittorrent.com:80 Last Announce: Today 06:57:50 PM (got 1 peer) Next announce in 10 minutes Last S...

Re: Bricked WR1043ND v1, and the reset button won't work.
Does the router slowly blink the power LED first thing after switching on?
If so, following the procedure to enter failsafe mode described in https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/tro ... tory_reset should work.
If not, the serial cable may be your last option.

Re: Default QOS setup
On a 100Mbit connection, are you really going to have it saturated by streaming? I'd let it run without QOS and see what happens first. The Archer might be on the slow side with QOS enabled, reducing the usable bandwidth because of lack of CPU power.

Re: wan port on tp-link c5 very slow
It won't help against mac spoofing, just against violating the DHCP rules. This is to ensure quota work as intended, as those are based on the assigned IP and changing the IP of the client would grant more data volume, defying the purpose.
