Re: Version 1.4.2
In my quest to identify what's making my 1043D's wifi drop, I started logread'ing. I'm seeing a lot of these: Sep 27 10:11:01 Gargoyle cron.err crond[2405]: USER root pid 12254 cmd /usr/bin/set_kernel_timezone >/dev/null 2>&1 Is that normal? yes, it is normal... I am at least getting it every t...

Re: DNS Caching?
Pbix,
Thanks for the hint!
After some google'ing, it seems that the command to specify the cache size is "dnsmasq -c [cache size]".
I'm not sure, however, how to modify the dnamasq file you pointed to.
Can you give an example?
Thanks!

DNS Caching?
I've searched around the board and learned that DNSMasq is present and enabled on the 1.3.x revisions.
I was wondering, however, if that service was running a cache so as to respond to DNS queries.
If so, are the DNS caching settings configurable (TTL, number of entries, etc)?

Re: QOS by IP Range? - Also: Backup DHCP list?
1an, thanks for the neat instructions! Switched routers today and quickly reloading the DHCP/QOS settings was a breeze!
robnitro, interesting. However, how does one load back these files into the router, apart from SSH?

Re: QOS by IP Range? - Also: Backup DHCP list?
Sounds like you are suggesting a new feature for the System/Backup tab? ... a kind of "hardware independent" backup button, that just backs up those config settings that are hardware independent (eg DHCP table) and therefore safe to transfer between different router models. Exactly. Repop...

QOS by IP Range? - Also: Backup DHCP list?
Hey there. Is there a way to assign QOS classification rules to cover more than a single IP? eg: Destination: 192.168.1.100-192.168.1.105, Fast Also, is there a way to preserve the DHCP list? This would be extremely useful to add to the "Backup / Restore" section, since doing a full config...

Re: Version 1.3.12
WRT54GL v1.1 running 1.3.11 here. Eric, I have to believe that because OpenWRT and Gargoyle now support Broadcom wireless pretty well, many people who are using dd-wrt or tomato are going to give your firmware releases a serious look. You are offering a modern 2.6 kernel with a simple web interface...
