After a power outage the router rebooted constantly when connected to WAN. Disconnecting the WAN port solved the rebooting part but left me with no internet. Let's say I want to connect my laptop through a VPN but I don't wanna go through the trouble of installing the VPN client on all the devices in my house. With 3 kids + by/girlfriends the number of devices can add up.

If I set up my router as a open VPN server, will it still be accessible by devices without VPN software installed?
In other words, can I connect to the router with VPN while someone else is connected in the "normal" way.

Is there any way to see if a device is either connected to the guest network, the 2.4 or the 5 GHz network?

Okay, thanks. I did an upgrade without preserving settings and without uploading a backup after the upgrade.
I manually configured the router and so far everything's working!

I have an Archer C7 v2 router with Gargoyle 1.91. Is it safe to upgrade to 1.10 while preserving the settings?

Is it possible to upgrade from 1.9.1 to 1.9.2 without preserving settings but, after the upgrade, restore a configurationfile made in the 1.9.1 version? Without bricking the router of course. I have my router, decoder, switch etc connected to a timer which switches off every night and switches back on in the morning.

Could this be a problem for Gargoyle?
