After a power outage the router rebooted constantly when connected to WAN. Disconnecting the WAN port solved the rebooting part but left me with no internet. The modem assigned a fixed IP to the router so I thought that might cause problems. Turns out it didn't but I gave up on the fixed Ip anyway. ...

Let's say I want to connect my laptop through a VPN but I don't wanna go through the trouble of installing the VPN client on all the devices in my house. With 3 kids + by/girlfriends the number of devices can add up.

If I set up my router as a open VPN server, will it still be accessible by devices without VPN software installed?
In other words, can I connect to the router with VPN while someone else is connected in the "normal" way.

Okay, thanks. I did an upgrade without preserving settings and without uploading a backup after the upgrade.
I manually configured the router and so far everything's working!
