Re: 1.9.x Wireless Bridge/Repeater
You'll need the latest 1.9.X. Since we have the same router I have the file available somewhere I will provide it for you after work. You'll want to use the WinSCP section to modify the /www/basic.sh and /www/js/basic.js files. The easiest way is on GitHub to click "raw" which will give yo...

Gargoyle CLI
When something goes wrong, usually the first thing someone will ask you to troubleshoot is, "we need a system log". They might ask you, "can we see your config files?" Or maybe they'll ask you to modify, add or remove files from the file system on the router. We are going to cove...

Re: Reset every 96 seconds when connected to cable modem
No worries mate. I believe we fixed this in 1.9.x but I can't honestly remember. The problem is that those files contain time data. When the router reboots the time can get out of sync. then the data gets reloaded and it ends up in the "future" (I think). With the router connected to the I...

Re: Speed on 5GHZ
It would be highly advisable to set it up again. There are incompatible changes between the two versions which may or may not result in your router going into a reboot loop. Which will then throw you into the deep end and accelerate your command line learning :P Best to ease you into that I reckon? ...

Re: Speed on 5GHZ
Righto. So first things first, the AC functionality of your router isn't supported in that version. Again, it can be set through the command line, or you can upgrade to the latest 1.9.X where it is supported. I personally think that it's going to be a bit difficult and a lot of double work tracking ...

Re: Reset every 96 seconds when connected to cable modem
Disconnect from the modem to stop the resets happening.
Log in to the router with WinSCP and delete everything under /usr/data/bwmon
Reboot router and reconnect to modem. Should stop it.
Let me know how this goes.

Your question about different passwords is covered here
viewtopic.php?f=13&t=5043#p23325
You are free to set a different password on the command line
What is the exact version of the Archer router you are using? And the exact version of Gargoyle?

Re: No WAN ip after reboot
Different hardware.
If I had to guess, both problems are DHCP related.
