Re: Minidlna Persistence over Reboots ?
Technically speaking its the /tmp location of the mounted usb drive but as you point out this is likely due to a timing issue at start up. thats why its seen occassionally. As the config introduces this boot dependancy on the usb drive surely allowing to set db_dir & log_dir to a location other ...

Minidlna Persistence over Reboots ?
I have recently have 2 occassions where reboots have resulted in minidlna failing to pickup what was a perfectly good configuration. The end result being no media being seen on the USB drive and empty directories for the 2 shared folders. I had multiple folders on the usb drive and had shared out 2 ...

Re: Installing openwrt packages on 1.10 ?
Lantis, I finally got to the bottom of this although im not 100% sure what happened.I think it may have been caching issues with good old user error as i muddled through trying to configure this. Anyway, all sorted, so here are my steps in case anyone else runs into the same issues. On the TL-WR1043...

Re: Installing openwrt packages on 1.10 ?
This is strange, i have very little config done on the wrt1200ac
running 1.11.x, changed plugin_root to a separate usb and enabled a few plugins- adblock, minidlna, email amnd setup ftp/nfs on usb storage, thats it. Could you possbily paste the /etc/opkg.conf that is working for you ?

Re: Installing openwrt packages on 1.10 ?
Lantis,
I can confirm that it also installs fine on 1.11.X
Although i cannot execute it
root@Gargoyle:/usr/bin# rsync
-ash: rsync: not found
root@Gargoyle:/usr/bin#
Also tried with --rsync_path to no avail
Something not quite right here.

Re: Installing openwrt packages on 1.10 ?
Ok, so opkg.conf lists urls like src/gz chaos_calmer_packages http://downloads.openwrt.org/chaos_calmer/15.05.1/ar71xx/generic/packages/packages which work in a browse but not on commandline ? substituting downloads in all urls with archive, and updating lists using "opkg list" get me a li...

Installing openwrt packages on 1.10 ?
Hi, i understand that beta and ispy builds will not have repos set up correctly but i thought that stable versions did. If that is correct why do i have issues installing rsync on my tplink 1043nd ? The packages are located here http://archive.openwrt.org/chaos_calmer/15.05.1/ar71xx/generic/packages...

Re: DLNA and/or plugin issues on 1.10
Just a quick update: I was able to reproduce the issue with filezilla copying 1.2gb file to the ext4 formatted usb drive. I also had no wifi active on the router just to eliminate that as a possibility. The copy got to 62% and fell over, router reset to factory. Strangely, i reconfigured the ext4 us...

Re: DLNA and/or plugin issues on 1.10
Hi Lantis, This router has 128 mb Flash/256 DDR3 RAM so if ts running out it must be a severe memory leak or corruption. I simply installed with deafults and set up 2 usb drives. usb1 is 16gb ext4 formatted in gargoyle 1.10 with swap, usb2/sata is 3tb ntfs formatted in windows. I also noticed that t...
