Re: 1.12.0.x gargoyle-ispy 2020-March-02 06

Those stats not showing up are usually accompanied by log entries along the lines of "device IMQ0 does not exist" Which indicates that the IMQ driver failed to start correctly. Usually saving QOS again causes it to restart and therefore attempt to reinsert the driver. I need to put some try, wait, f...

Re: Cannot fix opkg security issue as gargoyle-okpg cannot just-download?

I've merged the two topics as they discuss the same bug.
As stated above, Gargoyle is not susceptible to the aforementioned issue by default.

Saving QOS again should fix the congestion control status being blank.

Re: Archer C7V2 (1.12.0) boot loop (every minute)

Curiously (and suspiciously) these bugs always show up near the dates when daylight savings kicks in or ends.

It is definitely related, or at least exacerbates the issue.

Re: Firewall Restriction to Blocking URL or Domains

IPSet won't help unless you know the entire list of IPs used by youtube. Gargoyle doesn't really have any DNS level blocking built into the GUI. The app is probably making DNS calls and then resolving the IP rather than a web GET request. Everything would need to be setup manually, and there isn't r...

Re: Firewall Restriction to Blocking URL or Domains

So testing the theory, it's working ok.
Now you can try adding back in the rules 1 at a time to try and cover the other use cases (e.g. the app).
I'm not sure what URLs the app uses internally. :?:

Re: Archer C7V2 (1.12.0) boot loop (every minute)

It is most likely the timewarp bug, for which I still don't have a reliable way to trigger it, and therefore no good way to find out exactly what's wrong.

Re: Firewall Restriction to Blocking URL or Domains

Can you confirm which version of Gargoyle you're using please?
This will help understand why the weburl filtering is not working.

Re: CPU load and memory usage confusion

If you loaded OpenVPN and Tor at the same time, you'd find both metrics increase.
If you copy a file to /tmp, you'll see the memory usage go up as well (as /tmp is mapped to RAM).

But as stated, your router is plenty powerful for your connection, so you're not going to see it break a sweat often.
