Re: Troubleshooting Dynamic DNS

For a simple URL like that, don't use meta url. Just place it directly in the url_template.

Re: Gargoyle on ESXI 6.7 eth1 issue

As long as you are now sorted, that's a good outcome. The fact that the setup script never ran or was missing is a concern, which I will look into. There's also a possibility that if that script doesn't run early enough that the default ifs file gets the wrong data. Will need to look at that also. B...

Re: Gargoyle on ESXI 6.7 eth1 issue

Are you using the Gargoyle GUI to configure it?
Can you post a copy of your /etc/config/network, as well as the contents of /etc/gargoyle_default_ifs

Noting that it is in diff format so you'd need to clean or reformat the code.

The date of the torrent tells you which build it is, and it contains all routers and packages that were built. So you pick your file from there.

Re: Gargoyle on ESXI 6.7 eth1 issue

Eth1 was properly detected, it just hasn't been initiated into your network config (most likely). There should be a script that does this for you (/etc/init.d/x86setup), it sounds like this maybe did not run. If it exists at /etc/init.d/x86setup: - /etc/init.d/x86setup enable - reboot and see if fix...

Re: Web Monitor / Web Usage Logging...

Works fine. But like I said, you'd be better getting the latest 1.11.x so you get the latest fixes and features.
There are lots of these in between the major releases.

Re: Gargoyle on ESXI 6.7 eth1 issue

It's likely a lack of drivers.
If you still have both systems running, can you please provide a logread after booting both systems (should show drivers and interfaces loading). And also an lsmod of both systems once it is running.

Re: Web Monitor / Web Usage Logging...

Yes it does HTTPS sniffing. It can only determine the url, not the search terms for search engines. This capability relies on SNI, which some organisations are pushing to encrypt, at which point we will be back to square 1. 1.11.x (not 1.11.0) is what I would recommend to most people. 1.10.0 has man...
