Re: Install TOR on my Gargoyle

You could take that approach - but I expect that hyou will also need to build your own Gargoyle which recognises the additional available RAM. Not difficult but it is another step.

Re: Quota with QOS off

It sounds to me that you are wishing to share bandwidth fairly (ie performance) but not actually needing to apply quotas. It seems that you are using a small quota (1MB) to initiate a throttle. If this is correct then you can ignore quotas and just work with the QoS config. Probably you will go a lo...

Re: Install TOR on my Gargoyle

Your router only has 4mb of flash so we can't put USB support on it. Without USB support, you can't enable swap space so you cannot run Tor. No you cannot sorry. Purchase a router with 8mb of flash or more. https://www.gargoyle-router.com/wiki/doku.php?id=supported_routers_-_tested_routers my TL-WD...

Re: Gargoyle NAT 'leaking' port 443?

@roadhawk I think that it is worth posting your findings over on the openwrt forum as the solution will need to be identified and resolved in openwrt before Garoyle users can see the fix.

Re: Upgrade single package

I think that you are going to need to build your own copy of Gargoyle with your preferred version of Tor included. This is not overly difficult but it will involve installing Git, pulling a copy of the Gargoyle code to your local PC, making a minor adjustment to a single text file, building Gargoyle...

Re: Upgrade single package

Have you tried uninstalling the old version of tor before installing the updated version?

Re: Inbound FIrewall configuration help

uci is the basic configuration engina for openwrt and Gargoyle it built on top of openwrt. So uci is completely functional at the comand line under Gargoyle. However, be aware that if you make special uci changes then they may be overwritten when next you make changes in the Gargoyle GUI
