Re: 1.11.x gargoyle-ispy 2018-July-12 06:01

Just an idle question to consider, if it's easy: B/W Distribution Table. I don't know what the sort is by default, but it seems random. Wouldn't it make more sense to reverse-sort by "Total"? As it is now, whenever I go there, I first change to Days and then look at the table. The hosts with large u...

Re: 75 Mbps

I can add another data point here, albeit for the WNDRMACV2. It's basically a pick-your-poison situation.

Connection: 115/11

Quotas: none
BWmon: on
QoS: off
Result: Full speed

Quotas: none
BWmon: on
QoS: on
Result: 75/10

Quotas: none
BWmon: off
QoS: on
Result: 90/10

Re: Define DNS priority

Now 1.1.1.1 has come along and is one that many might actually want to position first and only use their ISP's DNS as a fallback. DNS options are more varied than ever, so shouldn't the UI be able to handle ordering, and in the process maybe even add the words "Primary" and "Secondary" etc to make i...

Re: Two virtually identical routers which consistently use memory differently

Unfortunately, I can't really do that easily based on where they're deployed (i.e. not at my house).

I wonder, is there something better than "ls" that can be installed to really break down what is being used?

Re: gargoyle-ispy 2018-March-14 21:49

For the services plugin, please swap out the latest source code here for the JS file: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ericp ... s/initd.js That worked. I would have compared what was there against it, but what was there was formatted completely differently--all one line--making that very difficult.

Re: gargoyle-ispy 2018-March-14 21:49

I'm still working on the earlier question, but I have done the reset now. What you see below was likely like this before (in this build--I hadn't been in Services at all in this build until now). Tested in Chrome-based browser and Firefox. Theme doesn't seem to matter. https://i.imgur.com/q4pAMiZ.jp...

Re: gargoyle-ispy 2018-March-14 21:49

OK, I'll do a reset tomorrow and see how it goes. I don't think failsafe mode applies here, unless I'm misunderstanding it, since nothing is stuck--it just reboots once when changing that particular value in QoS (the value is saved).

Re: gargoyle-ispy 2018-March-14 21:49

I haven't done anything with QoS in several months, so is it now normal that changing either of the Total BW figures and saving settings restarts the router? Maybe since it was found that it was needed to properly take effect? It definitely wasn't doing this several months ago when I last configured...

Two virtually identical routers which consistently use memory differently

Are there any tools available besides ls (which isn't showing any smoking gun that I can see) for figuring out why two routers of the same model, with the same version of Gargoyle, rebooted at the same time, with a similar number of hosts, and configured all but identically (the slight differences I...

Re: Visited WebSite -Web Usage

I think a bunch of them are tracking servers and other behind-the-scenes sites that are hit when accessing whatever the main site you're visiting is. They serve to drown out what someone might want to see when using this feature. I'm not sure that there's a way the router could filter those out for ...
