Re: 1.11.x gargoyle-ispy 2018-December-11 17:59

Openwrt are also beginning to drop support. Their most recent discussions include no longer accepting patches for new devices with 4MB of flash. The kernel itself now takes up almost 1MB, that does not leave much room. As long as there is enough RAM, would it be possible to do a boot from USB (if a...

Re: Monitor VPN Data Usage

Great. Take your time, I'll resort to monitoring client-side in the interim.

Setting up the VPN server and a couple clients has been pretty easy, btw. Just a couple clicks on 1.10.0 on my Archer C7. I should have tried it much earlier!

Ektus.

Re: Monitor VPN Data Usage

Well, it does, but only partially. It shows the total amount for all VPN connections, but not the break down for the individual clients.

Monitor VPN Data Usage

Is there a way to show the amount of data used by VPN clients? I've got the router set up as VPN server and some devices as clients and would like to see the amount of data transferred to those clients. The connection passes through WAN, so it should be possible, but I can't find any relevant entrie...

Re: Syslog in Web Panel

There are (at least) two plugins that you can use to that end. Install webshell and issue the logread command, or install the dedicated "logread for Gargoyle" plugin.

Re: Gargoyle 1.11.0 Release Candidate 4

Your config file sets the country specifically to NL right? What appears to be happening is the device is reading the country code from EEPROM at boot as US, where channels 12-14 are not allowed. Thus the wifi can’t start. Normally you would see another line indicating it is overriding the country ...

Re: Open VPN

I believe VPN is used for accessing the router and your internal network form the outside. It shouldn't disturb access of devices from inside the LAN. I've yet to setup and test myself, though...

Re: Netgear Nighthawk R6700v2 Ac1750

I wasn't able to find much in terms of custom roms for this device.

https://wikidevi.com/wiki/Netgear_R6700v2 says there's no dd-wrt for this device.

It's not listed in https://openwrt.org/toh/hwdata/netgear/start so bad luck.

https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtop ... 1&start=15 shows an entry from a year back with a partially working build of dd-wrt, but nothing since.

Re: Video/Media Slowdown Issues

Thanks, I'll try that! Is that any different than rebooting the router? Well, it's less than rebooting. Takes only a second or two and simply restarts the wireless interface. This should in turn close all open connections on wifi and shouldn't affect wired connections. I'm fresh out of ideas now Re...
