Re: 1.12.0.x gargoyle-ispy 2020-March-12 21

Or it's like an USB drive / flash drive / USB memory stick, as you use, erase and write his cycle it will end until one day it no longer works? Yes, exactly. Each Flash in the router ha...

Questions: To get the File "System" from Openwrt, I have to install the firmware in my C7, correct? If the answer is Yes, i can do it direct from Gargoyle OS allready in my C7 or do I have to go back to original TP-Link firmware? And if it's ok (do it direct from Gargoyle OS), the process is with s...

Re: 1.12.0.x gargoyle-ispy 2020-March-12 21

So let's see if I understand the steps: Download the OpenWrt 18.06 firmware, extract and compare with Gargoyle Firmware extracted. After that I post here the configs, right? No. The file will not be created correctly until the router starts up - unfortunately, it is not enough to extract the file f...

Re: 1.12.0.x gargoyle-ispy 2020-March-12 21

 Try to look in the /etc/config/system file in OpenWrt 18.06 for how the LEDs are configured and compare with Gargoyle. If the LED information differs, enter the OpenWrt file extract here.

I can't look at it myself, I don't own this type of router, it's just an idea.

Re: NFS and SMB with Chrome OS?

 Try this experiment, manually install with ssh: gpkg update wget http://downloads.openwrt.org/releases/packages-19.07/mips_24kc/packages/wsdd2_2019-12-15-8bcc0c1a-3_mips_24kc.ipk -O /tmp/wsdd2.ipk gpkg install /tmp/wsdd2.ipk /etc/init.d/wsdd2 enable /etc/init.d/wsdd2 start I don't know if the...

Re: NFS and SMB with Chrome OS?

This is due to a security upgrade (NetBios shutdown) and a new version of the SMB protocol, which uses the WS discovery method ( https://support.google.com/chromebook/thread/13816562?hl=en ). Gargoyle 1.11.0 (also 1.12.0) does not support WS discovery, this package will be up to version 1.13.0+ and ...

Re: Guest wifi when router is set to dumb switch

I don't think it will work because there will be another gateway at DHCP #2.
