@Lantis
These build instructions no longer work, gets into a build loop.
Do you know what dependencies are now missing?
also these commands no longer work

Re: x86 installation error?
I found it easier to take the hard drive out and install the gargoyle firmware via Rufus directly
e.g. use the hard drive as a USB pen drive

Bidirectional OpenVPN through Ubiquiti USG
Hi all
Unfortunately, Ubiquiti tends to be a bit proprietary and doesn't play nicely with other systems.
But I finally got it to work with Gargoyle
It would be a big how-to but I'm just reporting that it can be done
here is the diagram

re:vlan My understanding of VLAN at the time of my first post was very limited. My knowledge is much better now. My ISP-supplied router (WAN = VLAN10) also came with a phone line. The problem was I needed VLAN 10 "in" (WAN) and VLAN 10 "out" (LAN) to my ISP-supplied router just f...

Re: VPN network Theory (Gargoyle)
The other option is to add an entry box like what they do on the OpenVPN client side.
The advantage is the user can add any custom entry they want.
Whichever is the easiest.....

@Lantis
If you do manage to add something can you use a format similar to static routes? In not so fussed about the layout but I need to add quite a few custom routes

Re: VPN network Theory (Gargoyle)
FYI I need to stick with Ubnt USG Pro because I'm starting to get into VLANS and multi-networks for work. My work only has 8 or so employee's and a few years ago we only had 10 or 20 devices on one subnet. Now we have 250 or more. We just connected the boss's house with a 10km wireless link and that...
