EDIT: Upgraded, now some time is needed to see if things are better.

WR-1043ND 1.5.8 instability

Initially I was very happy after upgrading my TP-Link WR-1043ND v1 to 1.5.8 due to the better wireless performance, but recently I've been experience random reboots in the dozens per day. It's very, very annoying. I tried using a USB key to record system logs but I get no messages whatsoever before ...

Re: Version 1.5.7 -- OpenWRT "Attitude Adjustment"

Another one requesting feedback on 1.5.7 Attitude Adjustment running on a Netgear WNDR3700 v1 . I'm currently on 1.5.4, only using "basic wireless router" features (no VPN, no USB, no QoS) Has wireless performance improved over that of v1.5.4? I often find the latter quite poor, particula...

Re: Version 1.5.7 -- OpenWRT "Attitude Adjustment"

Forgot to mention: WR1043ND V1, transfer speeds at nominal 150Mbps never reached 20Mbps on 1.5.6 (tested using iperf), with unstable periods of bandwidth in the hundreds of KB. Now with 1.5.7 get stable, effective 40Mbps. Absolutely amazing work.

Re: Version 1.5.7 -- OpenWRT "Attitude Adjustment"

Upgraded my WR1043ND V1 to 1.5.7 and so far everything looks great. I just see some very minor issues, but I can't be sure they're not due to me being stubborn and keeping settings from 1.5.6. 1) Status tab does not show WAN IP/netmask/gateway anymore, just blanks, and DNS servers are listed twice (...

Re: QoS configuration disappears after power loss and breaks

I din't think it's a gargoyle issue, sounds more like a 1043 issue, did some googling but didn't seem to find anything conclusive. Though there was mention of settings not taking I don't think the is the issue you are experiencing. When you lose the settings are you reinputting them or reloading. I...

Re: QoS configuration disappears after power loss and breaks

My QoS rules just got reset again for no apparent reason: I did a simple edit (adding one rule) and after saving everything is gone. Checking uci shows that the configuration entries are actually gone. Luckily the upload rules were intact and I could adapt them since they're very similar to my downl...

QoS configuration disappears after power loss and breaks WAN

After a power outage today, my PPPOE WAN connection unexpectedly stopped working after my WR-1043ND and my ADSL modem rebooted. I confirmed the ADSL connection itself was fine by connecting directly to the modem, and searching a little through the configuration on Gargoyle (version 1.5.4) I found al...
