Re: enabling boot_wait

I wish I could run netalyzer to see if it causes to lock things up, but the link you provided appears to be down. I don't feel that I really push the router to it's limits either, although I'm not certain how to determine if I do. I too, have a low connection, 3Mbps maximum, and for the most part, f...

Re: enabling boot_wait

I got it to work through tftp. I really appreciate the help enabling boot wait and setting the wait time. I notice you are running the same version I am now 1.4.7 on the same device. I wonder if you've experienced drops in the wireless? After only two days on this version, I've had to reset the devi...

enabling boot_wait

I'm having issues downgrading from 1.5.4 to 1.4.7. Gargoyle keeps getting stuck at "uploading firmware". I've researched this some, and it appears the best thing to do is return to the stock firmware and then to Gargoyle again. Can someone please let me know how to enable boot_wait and set...

Re: Version 1.5.4 & 1.4.7

I'm really experiencing issues with the Wireless on 1.5.4, unlike before on 1.2.5. It seems every time I open my MacBook Pro, I establish a connection to the device, can browse a page or two, and then it immediately drops. I've waited to see if it recovers, but it never has and I have to reboot my L...

Re: Remote router access setup

Makes sense about bridging the modem for simplicity and removing stock firmware. I've never really thought about it that way. Good advice, guys. Thank you. I don't believe there was triple NAT going on, but certainly two devices (Vonage modem and Gargoyle) behind the Comcast. So double NAT twice (?)

Re: Remote router access setup

Is double NAT a bad thing in general, or just for what I'm trying to accomplish? I looked into bridging the cable modem and the ISP (Comcast) put up a real fuss about it. Sounds like they want to give me a different modem instead of reconfiguring it. I also use Vonage for phone service and they had ...

Re: Remote router access setup

I thought the setup process was straightforward myself, but I've not been able to get things working. I have a dynamic IP address, but it appears to have never changed in the time I've been with my ISP. Regardless, I have an account with openDNS and have configured Gargoyle to update the account as ...

Remote router access setup

Can someone please walk me through the process of setting router access from the WAN? I'd like to be able to access my home router from work when needed and after researching and trying it myself, I've been unsuccessful. I'm still not certain how this is setup in the Gargoyle interface. I've looked ...

Re: Version 1.5.4 & 1.4.7

Hi all. I'm new to the forum, but have had OpenWRT v.1.2.5 on my WRT54GL for a little over a year now. I've been very happy with it and appreciate all the development work from you folks. I recently opted to upgrade to v.1.5.4 on the same Linksys model after seeing all the new enhancements. I'm very...
