Tried all the suggestions but all the firmware loads I tried came up with "no space left on device" Finally bricked the 1043ND by mistyping a command I think. Went to tftp with serial and managed to load open-wrt then upgraded to Gargoyle 1.3.7, appears to work ! Memory usage is running at...

The /tmp directory did not have the file but was found in the /root directory !

To upgrade from 1.3.5 upload the sysupgrade firmware file using scp to the /tmp directory on your router. thanks Eric Will give this a try, just have to work out what/how scp works/does Then login via ssh and run: sysupgrade -n /tmp/[firmware_file_name] Got this bit sorted ..... Thanks for the reply DoesItMatter, Router is presently running Gargoyle 1.3.5 Trying to upgrade using the sysupgrade file you mention, tried using IE and Firefox, did a reset before starting to grab as much memory as possible. System upgrade via web GUI just sits there with the loading box displayed...

Flashed my WR1043ND over to Gargoyle 1.3.5 a while ago without any issues from the manufacturers firmware.
