Thanks for the response... still having issues though... a reboot didn't help... Trying to reflash, but it doesn't actually reflash the unit. It just sits there telling me that its updating the firmware... Or do I need to flash it via tftp? Does the web-interface update firmware not work for everyon...

Getting back on topic... Just tested it, copied the file over with scp, (made a backup of the original) - but I still get the error saying that (There is an error in application (layer 7) protocol. Could not update the rule) Edit: oops, my bad! Forgot that IE caches javascript! Another issue... time...

I thought I would take a jump and try...

Downloaded the .trx file, renamed it to .bin (DD-WRT wont accept .trx)... and crossed my fingers and toes as I clicked on upload.....

Flashed, and it seems to work now! So much better than DD-WRT!

DD-WRT Mega -> Gargoyle (WRT54G-TM)

Howdy! I have a Linksys WRT54G-TM router (the 8/32 meg version of the 54g) which is a fantastic bit of kit. It's flashed with DD-Wrt mega, and frankly is works quite well. That said, I would like to move over to Gargoyle... any ideas if I can just click on the update firmware optinon in DD-Wrt mega,...
