ok I'll try that, do you have any info on failsafe reset? I can only find Recovery flash in failsafe mode from here: https://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/netgear/wndr3800

I changed the LAN to 192.168.0.x subnet but still the modem cannot connect to the internet to update plugins etc I only use the netgear for wifi clients hence wanting the wifi scheduler plugin. Is it possible there are residual issues with the modem from when it previously crapped itself? I have res...

wan is setup wired static, it should all be correct (it used to work) but I am at a loss why it doesnt work now. The wifi clients can connect to the wan so weird that gargoyle cannot..

any help appreciated

digging up this old thread, is there anyway to manually install plugins? I really want the wifi schedule but have no idea why the modem cannot see the internet, connected wifi clients work fine.

Any chance you can try your setup with a normal ethernet cable? I dont have any crossover cables and no local shops have them. I can get one online but it wont arrive until next week and cost $15 and there is no gaurentee it will fix it :) I'm pretty content having gargoyle running as wifi ap as its...

I did try DHCP but it was unable to get an IP. Dont think I dont have a crossover cable, would it need one to go to wan->lan?

I'll see if I can get the log tomorrow night when I get a chance to look again.
