Re: Do I need to retire my Archer c7 v2?

Did you figure out your issue? I was going to upgrade from 1.10.x to 1.12.0 soon. Sorry for not responding earlier. Short answer - no. There's something definitely wrong, but not so wrong that I can find the time to do something about it. From time to time the internet is slow and the wifi range is...

Re: Do I need to retire my Archer c7 v2?

ATM:
Memory Usage:22MB / 122.1MB (18%)
Connections:73/4096
CPU Load Averages:0.03 / 0.01 / 0.00 (1/5/15 minutes)

But, that said, no one is here atm. Will try checking it over the next day or so.

Do I need to retire my Archer c7 v2?

Recently updated my router (Archer c7 v2) to Gargoyle 1.12.0 and have received almost instant complaints from my family about speed, wifi coverage and DNS issues. I've rebooted it to see if that helped, but it does not seem to have. When I log in to the admin interface it seems to struggle (from my ...

Pages Redirecting from Web interface

My gargoyle web interface has recently stopped serving some pages, redirecting me instead to overview.sh Pages redirected include: https://192.168.1.1/bandwidth.sh https://192.168.1.1/bandwidth_distribution.sh https://192.168.1.1/reboot.sh Gargoyle details: Gargoyle Version:1.9.2 Model:TP-Link Arche...

Re: TP-Link Archer C7 v2

Thanks for the follow up. I suspect it's something to do with Optus, rather than the router. The short story is that when my Optus issued modem is bridged, I get slow speeds through my gargoyle router (sometimes it's fine, sometimes it's slow). It worked fine for years, but in the last week or so it...

Re: TP-Link Archer C7 v2

Flashing with 1.9.2 factory seemed to go fine.
Didn't fix my weirdness though. oh well.

Re: TP-Link Archer C7 v2

Thanks
I want a clean slate, rather than an upgrade from something I don't trust.

So I'll just upload the factory.bin to
https://192.168.1.1/update.sh

and should be good to go?

TP-Link Archer C7 v2

Hi I have been having some weirdness with my C7v2. It is currently running 1.9.1. I'd like to reflash it to 1.9.2. If I use the factory.bin: https://www.gargoyle-router.com/downloads/images/ar71xx/gargoyle_1.9.2-ar71xx-generic-archer-c7-v2-squashfs-factory.bin instead of the upgrade will that cause ...

Re: Help understanding a lock out

I have not had the lock outs repeated (3 in a day, none since), so I am shelving this for the time being.

Re: Help understanding a lock out

Thanks for your responses. I was away from the computer when the router failed. I would come back to discover that nothing connected to a physical interface could communicate with the router - ping failed for machines directly connected with a cable. Wireless was still working though and I could log...
