Re: Successfully flashed a router? Tell Us!
TP link Archer C7 V2 I followed an older procedure of a 3-step flash: • factory-to-ddwrt-US.bin (reverts to ddwrt) • ArcherC7v2_webrevert.bin (Flash to a version to TPLink that can be flashed to Gargoyle) • gargoyle_1.9.2-ar71xx-generic-archer-c7-v2-squashfs-factory.bin Everything works great! My qu...

Re: My TL-WR702N died, and need new gargoyle router :(
Are there any new routers on the market today that can be flashed to Gargoyle? It seems like they are all locked down by the manufacturer.

Re: Quota management
I'd like another option on the Bandwidth Quotas. I currently throttle bandwidth once a download quota is exceeded (current throttle is 150 kbps). However, some devices are still consuming large amounts of data even at the 150 kbps rate. What I would like is a second "Absolute Download" opt...

Re: Version 1.9.1
I've been running 1.9.X (Built 20160420-1241 git@92c2ca6) and seen that 1.9.1 is available. I downloaded the sysupdate and applied the update, but my Overview.sh still shows the 1.9.X version. I am running on TP-Link Archer C7 v2. What did I do wrong? About the only thing I know about PuTTY and SSH ...

Re: Remote Access through HughesNet
Finally back in the Wisconsin north woods and trying to get either DDNS or OpenVPN to work with my HughesNet satellite system. --NO LUCK-- The WAN-IP reported today is 100.108.132.210. I am unable to connect to this IP because the whole HughesNet system contains a whole lot of things I don't underst...

Re: Remote Access through HughesNet
Once again, thanks for all the help. I am now able to connect by VPN. I'm assuming that the gargoyle router is configured as the VPN server. I then created a client for my IOS device and loaded the OpenVPN app on the iphone. I did find that with freends.afraid.org, that I had to include the update_k...

Re: Remote Access through HughesNet
Thanks for all of the help. This is a real journey for a newbie like myself. I tried setting up a domain on no-ip.com, only to find that they do not support ipv6. I'm now starting along the freedns.afraid.com route. The freedns instructions from afraid say to load the Update Key into the "Hostn...

Remote Access through HughesNet
I am replacing a low end LinkSys router (EA6400) with Gargoyle 1.9.x running on TP-Link Archer C7 V2. Now I want to be able to remotely access the router from anywhere. I do not have a static WAN IP. When I query "Whats my IP" I am returned an IPv6 address. I have been using LinksysSmartWi...

Re: Archer C7 V.2 Installation Error
Another happy Archer C7 V2 installation with Gargoyle 1.9.x... Thanks for all the expert help from this forum. I followed the 3 step procedure from lantis. As a newbie, it took a while to figure out how to see the files on dd-wrt and then figure out that I had to decompress the .rar file to get the ...

Re: Archer C7 V.2 Installation Error
I'm a total newbie at this and garbled my first message. Can you confirm if this is the correct order to get gargoyle installed on my new Archer C7 V2 (arrived via amazon just 7 days ago)? Step 1: Flash http://download1.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/betas/2016/04-25-2016-r29519/tplink_archer-c7-v2/f...
