Re: WR842 v2.3 only gets 50 Mbps

I can understand that. I would not ask for something that can cause significant ramifications to the project ( nice as it would be, but i fully understand the issue ) And I will point out that I will not be changing the current default Gargoyle config sent to customers. I just purely wanted to know ...

Re: WR842 v2.3 only gets 50 Mbps

Good old channel spacing :D Now that brings back some memories of setting up trunked radio systems in the days before mobile phones when they bought in 12.5Mhz wide channels underneath the then standard 25Mhz spacing. I might have another play and disable the existing wifi points and re-test just to...

Restart the wireless interface by running "wifi" at the command line, and re-test please.

Re: WR842 v2.3 only gets 50 Mbps

Can I see your wireless config file? /etc/config/wireless Don't forget to hide sensitive information (passwords, SSIDs maybe if they are important to you). config wifi-device 'radio0' option type 'mac80211' option hwmode '11g' option path 'platform/ar934x_wmac' option channel '1' option htmode 'HT4...

Re: WR842 v2.3 only gets 50 Mbps

From memory, the only wireless selection was b+g+n in the drop down.

Was something I took note of when playing.

The stock factory wireless menu allows a choice of 3 combo's...

Re: WR842 v2.3 only gets 50 Mbps

Mmm.. I didnt check the negotiated link speed of the wireless connection. Wont know now till Monday when I am back at work. The switch and the gateway router should be both 100M, but thats irrelevant as I know it gets 90+ thru both test router LAN ports Maybe the link wireless is negotiating at 54M ...

WR842 v2.3 only gets 50 Mbps

Playing with some new stock today of TL-WR842ND's and noticed that with Gargoyle it only achieves ~50Mbps Wireless on our local LAN. The stock factory WR842ND gets over 90 Mbps wireless. Cabled gets ~90 Mbps on both routers. Not worried that neither get 100Mbps as this is hard to achieve with the ot...
