QoS - can router handle it?
I've been using Gargoyle for well over a year, and absolutely love it. Can't live without it. I use an older router (DIR-615), which barely has the capacity to even fit Gargoyle (4MB). Nonetheless, it works wonderfully and flawlessly. My quick question: Can QoS slow down an old router? I mean, is th...

Re: Plugins are all 10MB or larger
Installing plugins has been disabled on 4MB routers due to the high probability that doing so will cause the router to cease functioning. ... This change was made as a part of the last ditch attempt to make 4MB routers still usable under 1.9.X. Thanks a lot, Lantis. I have no complaints here. I am ...

Re: Plugins are all 10MB or larger
schnurlos, what router are you using? Is your router 4MB flash? I have a feeling that our problem may have something to do with that. Hopefully Lantis gets back to us. He's very knowledgeable.

Plugins are all 10MB or larger
In System --> Plugins --> Plugin List, the plugins (with the exception of "themes" and "USB printer...") have always appeared as at least 10MB or bigger of required disk space. I see other people have posted similar problems, but I haven't been able to find a solution. Does anyon...

Re: Guest Newtork as the only wireless option
I tried "Wireless Client Isolation" and found that those wireless devices could: 1. Still see all WIRED connections; but 2. Not see other WIRELESS connections From my trial run, "Wireless Client Isolation" only prevents you from seeing other WIRELESS devices. So it doesn't act th...

Re: Understanding QoS
Thanks! I appreciate the picture too. I'll try this out, as well as try it out on both 1.6.2 and 1.9.0. Might not get the chance for a couple weeks, but I'll be back here to post my success.

Re: Understanding QoS
Thanks so much Volaris and orangetec! I think I understand most of it now. :) You guys are awesome. I still have a nagging question on my mind regarding QoS (upload) : So I found that my optimal "Maximum (upload) Bandwidth" is 550kbit/s by having Computer 1 upload a big file at full thrott...
