Re: Manual setup for OpenVPN
Despite the TLS standard stating that a client key isn't required Gargoyle won't unfortunately let you bypass it. Private Internet Access (PIA) does not generally have a client key. Download the PIA Certificate files (ca.rsa.2048.crt and crl.rsa.2048.pem) from https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/...

Re: USB storage issue on Archer C7 v2
have you tried a failsafe reset (factory reset) yet? or re-flash No I have not done that yet. It was quot a pain to install gargoyle on the archer. Not saying it's a bad idea to do that but I'll spend a good chunk of time getting everything back to where I am now. Factory reset will take me back to...

USB storage issue on Archer C7 v2
Hello everyone, I am having some issues running some usb storage from the router (Archer c7 v2). A little about my network: I have two WD mybooks (1-3tb & 1 500 GB that are running great) and one 750gb hhd that is connected to a sata to usb cable. The HDD is receiving info from an ipcamera strea...

Re: Version 1.10.0 : New stable version with critical security fixes
Well done gargoyle devs. I was able to successfully update my archer c7 v2 to 1.10.0 within 10 minutes. I did a backup and used the sysupgrade to do the upgrade from 1.9.2 to the latest. Then I did the backup restore to get my settings back and it worked perfectly. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Re: Version 1.9.2
On larger screens, the font size is super tiny. 11px? I bumped the body size up to: body { font-size:1.9em; } and then changed the size back on smaller screens with: @media screen and (max-width:767px) { .row-offcanvas { position: relative; left: 0; -webkit-transition: left .25s ease-in-out; -moz-tr...

Softether VPN Setup on Gargoyle
I am trying to use Softether because some of my devices will not connect with the openVPN setup created using the Gargoyle software. The VPN setup I need will use this L2TP/IPsec, using IKEv2. Has anyone ever done this using Gargoyle software? Does anyone have have any good tutorials on how to set t...

Re: TP-LINK Archer C7 V2 early 2016 and later - does 1.9.1 w
I have 1.9.1 on the came archer c7 v2. Is this ok to have this firmware on the router? Should it say: Gargoyle version: 1.9.1 in the gargoyle backend? Or should it say 1.9.x? I am having issues with my ethernet dropping connection to the gateway. Maybe this is the reason why... My original post is h...

Re: wireless connects good but ethernet is flaky
That's what I am thinking. I was able to connect through ethernet without an issue on the 841n but now with this new archer it is an issue. I'd hate to have to flash the tplink firmware back onto the router to see if it is the firmware. I know putting this firmware onto the router probably voids me ...

wireless connects good but ethernet is flaky
I just changed my router from an tp-link 841to a tp-link-archer c7 v2 and i am getting an issue with ethernet connection. It connects and fine initally but then after a while it just kinda stops working. I can disable and enable and it sometimes connects again briefly before cutting out. Is there so...
