Bandwidth quotas for all except certain MAC addresses

I know that it's possible to create exceptions for certain IP address, but is it possible to make exceptions based on MAC addresses? This would prevent me having to create static IP addresses for all machines on the network - something that's not very realistic.

Thanks!

Re: Restrictions fail

I've had success using OpenDNS. You set up a free account with them and then point your router to their DNS servers and access to whatever sites you want blocked, will be blocked. They even have preset categories just for this purpose.

Easy and effective: https://www.opendns.com

Bandwidth quota for network except certain MAC addresses

Is it possible to put a daily bandwidth cap on all users except for a certain MAC address?

Email notification when bandwidth quota reached

Does anyone know if it's possible to configure Gargoyle to send an email notification as soon as the bandwidth quota has been reached?

I've read about scheduled emails through the use of a plugin but nothing about real-time alerts...

Thanks,
Kris

Which Gargoyle download for wndr3700v4 Netgear?

Hello, I would like to install Gargoyle on my new Netgear wndr3700v4 and just want to be sure which installation file to use. The OpenWRT page ( http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/netgear/wndr3700 ) says it uses the Atheros AR71xx chipset so it looks like I should be downloading the following: gargoyle_1.8...

Re: length of the upgraded file is incorrect

Dang! I should have been more careful to check the version number for the Open WRT compatibility. I just bought it so I'll return it and get the Archer C7 v2.0 which appears to be supported.

Thanks for your help!

Re: length of the upgraded file is incorrect

I have the Archer C5 v 2.0 so that page says "2.x is based on Broadcom chips rather than Atheros and not supported yet". So I guess that means that I can't install Gargoyle right?

Thanks for your help,

Kris

length of the upgraded file is incorrect

Hello, when I try to install Gargoyle (gargoyle_1.8.0-ar71xx-generic-archer-c5-squashfs-factory.bin) onto the TP-LINK Archer C5, I get the following error: Error code: 18001 Upgrade unsuccessfully because the length of the upgraded file is incorrect. Please check the file name. Screenshot: http://ww...

Re: TP-LINK AC1200

Oh yes! On closer inspection I see that the model number is actually the Arcer C5. AC 1200 was written all over the box on the box but I think that's the WIFI protocal it supports and then the wireless speed (1200 MBps).

thanks for your reply!
